Deep copper amber with thin beige head. Aroma of peaches and earth. Big biscuit flavor, nice hop finish. Some milk choclate excellent!

This is very ice, smooth, and very flavourful. It is copper with a big, dense, light tan head that lasts a long time, diminishing to a wispy head and laving some lacing. The aroma is grain, molasses, and flowery hops. The taste is similar, being fairly full but light, very interesting and constantly teasing the tongue, with a definite malty grain and caramel flavour, with a flowery, grainy finish and aftertaste. It is smooth and tasty, if a little on the mild, sweetish side.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2010 12 oz bottle. Copper color with two fingers of white head. Aroma and flavor are both sweet, malty goodness with an amazing finish that lets those notes linger on the tongue. Fantastic beer.

Great beer, I never would've believed it had a vanilla aroma untill I smelt it for myself. Very heavy in the malt maybe a bit harsh but not too bad. pour me another bootful

Had this on CASK on Winterfest, and was super prime times! Much better on cask then in bottle, and i liked it on bottle too; one of the better oktober brews i have had.

Clear golden-amber with moderate carbonation. Tall off-white bubbly head, receding casually. Aroma is nicely assertive with bread, perhaps honey, earthy. Taste is spicy bread. Not too sweet. Moderate-to-creamy feel. There is a little malty sweetness in the beginning that transitions to a slightly hoppy, clean, crisp, dry finish. Bread and hops linger in the aftertaste. This is an excellent American-brewed German-style Oktoberfest beer. Schell’s knows their German lagers, and this one is excellent.

This is probably the best Oktoberfest I’ve ever had. I had it in the Schell sampler pack which I bought at a great value of $6.99 at the local supermarket while in search of the ever elusive Schmidt.
