3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. I had this draft at the brewery last year, but this bottle leaves a better impression on me. Thin, transitory head. Darker than style, almost coppery. The malt is even a little toasty. There's a firm hop bitterness, just a little bit peppery. A very fine American pilsener. Can be slammed as a lawnmower beer or sipped slowly to enjoy its complexity (and yes, they have changed the label from "Pils" to "Pilsner.")
bitter slightly malty velvet water, its not a hop bomb but kinda unpleasant, had to keep it at one and done.

Pretty good pils. Aroma’s fairly standard traditional pilsner with wet grain and perfume. Flavor’s also traditional, slightly sweet up front, good carbonic tang, long bitter finish. Good body and finish. gripweed57 (2978) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUL 14, 2017
