COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A shining example of the true European Pilsner style beer, Schell's Pilsner is brewed with 100 percent barley malt, where the imported German Hallertau hops flavor is showcased. Its full hop characteristic and delicate aroma were developed in Pilsn, Czechoslavakia around 1840. This style was widely copied by early American breweries. Over the years, however, it has been lost to the much lighter-bodied, low-hopped relatives we refer to as American "Premium" beer.
Schell's Pilsner has won many awards, including medals from the prestigious Great American Beer Festival.
Ingredients: 100% Pale malt, domestic Cascade, and imported Hallertau hops.

Bottle, poured up with a rich, white creamy head. Brilliant light gold color. Hop bitterness is very crisp and true to style. I found a very metallic aroma that was a bit distracting. Other than that, the malt, hop balance was right on and this one was good.

Pretty good pils. Aroma’s fairly standard traditional pilsner with wet grain and perfume. Flavor’s also traditional, slightly sweet up front, good carbonic tang, long bitter finish. Good body and finish.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2016 Excellent Pilsner beer which is normally a style that’s just OK to me but I could easily session a few of these. No skunk flavor just clean and super easy to drink. I actually liked their Firebock Vienna Lager better but this is good. If you like Pilsner you have to try this.
