Poured a very dark brown - almost black - with a light tan head and minmal lacing. Aroma was of malts and coffee with a slight fruitiness. Pours a dark brown almost black with a nice sized head of tan foam. Nose is cocoa and dark malt. The texture is full with good creaminess. Taste is full of cocoa, coffee and dark roasted grains. It has a nice finish that is not too sweet or too bitter. A well made stout that compares well to Guiness. Try it with with smoked cheese and crackers.

Dark brown pour, large tan head that dissipates rather quickly. Start is malty with caramel overtones, then reveals the chocolate & coffee flavors. Finish is smooth with no surprises. This is the best of Schell´s lineup. That being said, it is still quite thin and unremarkable. The color is very dark, but that is about it. Bottle poured a clear dark rerddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of roastiness, bitter chocolate and coffee. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Pours dark brown with a small creamy head. This beer is sweet with a burnt roasted coffee flavor. It is creamy with hints of chocolate.
