Bottle from Andy (Guerde). Pours dark copper amber. Not much head. Aroma is a bit spicy. Med body. Flavor is fruity, spicy, a little earthy. It’s med fruit, not dark. It drinks very nicely, has good overall impact. Might consider there to be some toffee characteristic. Finishes pretty balanced. Good beer. Just leaves me uncertain about flavor components. Which is ok. gopherfan99 (2012) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle, pour amber with small head. Tastes of caramel and spice. Probably the best beer in this series that I have tasted. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle: Dark amber brownish pour with a lasting thin head.
aroma is bready, light toffee, spice and some dark fruits. floral hoppiness coming through too.
Flavour is dark fruits, almost fruit cake bready. Bit of a lingering burnt caramel that detracts a little. Light floral bitterness in the finish. badgerben (5372) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Copper color with a large head. Aroma of spice, bread and a little yeast. Very grainy flavor. A bit of a buttery grain flavor, like Munich malt. Light berry fruit. Full body. mnmike (1091) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Bottle. Thin white head that dissipates quickly. Ruby colored. Unique taste due to what I assume is the yeast strain.

Pours clear brown with short-lived head and no lacing. Aroma is yeast, apple, cinnamon, and other holiday spices. I’m currently not a huge fan of yeasty beers like this, but this one is well done. The taste is yeasty, with a good balance of spices and hops. The first yeast beer I’ve had no problem getting through quickly. Palate is average with low carbonation. Great for the season, though, with just enough holiday feel and warming qualities. Sledutah (7973) - Utah, USA - FEB 2, 2013

Appearance: Clear Cooper/amber with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, caramel, yeasty and spices
Taste: Sweet caramel, toasted malts, bready, finished with citrus bitterness
Clear copper with a large taupe crown that fades slowly away. Aroma of moderate funk with banana, caramel, spices, mild fruit and some bready malt. Taste is yeasty with banana, spices, bready malt, mild tomato and a spicy and somewhat funky finish. Nice change of pace. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Pours a dark amber color with off-white head. Spice, caramel malts, and some light fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with spice. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Pours a nice looking amber with a medium sized tan head. Nose is spices with a whiff of hops. Fairly creamy on the palate, the taste is malty with some caramel and ginger notes. Slight hop flavor on the finish, still rather sweet though. A good winter warmer.
