Demens (453) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 19, 2016
0,5l bottle. Dark ruby/brown colour with slowly shrinking big foamy beige head. Aroma: caramel, light roasted coffee, vanilla. Taste: sweet malty start with light bitterness. Getting a bit more bitter. Creamy texture. Mild carbonation and medium body. Short light bitter finish. Good but not the best.

Sissio (1668) - Orsenigo, ITALY - JAN 30, 2016
Deep red brown, disappearing brown head. Caramel, fruity, malty with light sweet licorice and wild honey, raisins. Easy drinkable, very balanced with lovely maraschino and a hint of vanilla tobacco.

Light caramel aroma. Dark cola with some cream colored head. Sticky mid bodied brew, slightly sweet. Alcohol is really well hidden. Toast, sweet burnt sugar, malty, filling. I could eat this for 40 days.

Camons (12680) - Hasselager, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2015
Bottle @ Home. Pours very dark amber with a creamy light tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, wood, nuts, little chocolate, raisins. Flavor is light sweet, malty, rich caramel, nutty, chocolate, dried dark fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish with a bit of warming alcohol. Nice one, easy to drink. 141215

Era da tempo che non bevevo una doppelbock, e da tantissimo tempo che non bevevo una doppelbock così buona. Già l’apparenza mi garba, ma il naso è spettacolare, con tutto quello che una birra del genere deve offrire. In bocca è molto sostanziosa, e mi soddisfa in pieno. Molto bene.

Look; light yellowish beige head and dark ruby clear body. Beautiful classic label on the bottle. Aroma; brown malts, dried dusty raisins, teak oil, vanilla chocolate. Taste; dark caramels, candiced grass, plum, nut sauce, chocolate with integrated fruits - leading to a fruity finish with dry elements and with hops and brandy notes the fruity grapey way. Good texture and soft carbonation. Overall impressed. This is really a smooth and good soft-dry sipper for any evening! 500ml bottle (Alaus Biblioteka, Vilnius)
Beautifully malty aroma - pure malt drink. Super malty taste - this is just a malzbier or malta, no? Beautiful rich palate, full, but lovely carbonation. This is just pure liquid mammi. I love the rye and the nuts. Where’s the freaking alcohol? OK, germany, I forgive you. This cancels all of the not-yet-drunk horrors I just bought in Olpe. A bloody excellent doppelbock.
