Pours a dark brown, ember color, completely clear, with a small, stable head.
Smells of roasted, toffee infused malts, together with a whiff of caramel and wood bark.
Has a medium, but lively carbonation, providing a convincing freshness to the otherwise creamy mouthfeel.
Tastes of toffee glazed malts, together with a note of honey and earth. Earth turns more prominent, due to bakers chocolate and wood infused coffee, not turning particularly bitter, while the taste developes a nice depth.
Very malty, slightly sweet with a pleasantly soft mouthfeel, exhibiting a decent note of honey and wood. drmet (965) - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2015

Maker: Kloster Brauerei Scheyern (but brewed at "Tucher Bräu Fürth (Oetker Group")
Beer: Kloster-Export Dunkel (bottled, 500ml)
Colour: Dark mahogany, clear, medium beige head.
Nose: Sweetish caramel, sour barley.
Texture: Medium body, a bit watery, a bit grainy.
Taste: Toffee, honey, some roasted malt at the outset. Not really sweet though. Malty middle, with a teensy bit of hops for balance. Slightly sour into the finish. Coffee in the finish and aftertaste, of medium length.
Impressions: Not bad, very malty Dunkles, like a light stout. Not too characterful either. Middle of the road. Fisler (546) - Bamberg, GERMANY - MAY 8, 2015
