Bottle. Pours a rusty brown beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is moderately malty, touch of caramel and very faint amount of coffee. Not much else here. Flavor is very light, bittersweet with loads of malts in there. Low level of carbonation, light bodied and just an easy drinkable beer. Nothing else. Geruch malzig und röstig. Sehr restsüß. Zum Ende hin kaum bitter. Sehr süffig, bis auf röstig wenig Charakter. StueyD (1582) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2014
A mid reddish brown coloured beer with a frothy off white head. A strong roasted malt aroma, nutty and caramel plus a meatiness in the background. Medium-dry mouthfeel. A dry malty taste leads with a nutty, cracker flavour, this is then followed by a more sweeter, caramel and fruit flavour that in turns brings forth the meatiness. The finish is short but dry and nutty.

Bottle. Moderate dark bread and chocolate milk for the malt, light to moderate herbs for the hops, faint dough for the yease, with a hint of cola. Head is average size, frothy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear medium brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet, then finishes lightly acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A simple yet nice Dunkel Mainuh_man (291) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 29, 2014
0.5L bottle. Pours a clear red-brown with a fluffy, tan-white head that lingers. Dusty aroma with hints of cinammon and brown sugar from the deconcoction mash. Initial flavor is nutty with some hints of dried fruit and sweet malt. Middle flavor isn’t noteworthy, just transition to roasted malt. Finishes with a nice, bitter roasted malt character that balances off the sweetness well and lingers for quite some time. Average carbonation that’s a little fizzy. Medium body with a suprisingly thin mouthfeel. Overall, a very drinkable dunkel with a nice aroma, but not as much malt character as others.
