50 cl bottle @ Naamat, Tampere. Erasmus_ro (3199) - Alabama, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Pours dark clear copper color with a small head. Aroma of sweet raisins, caramel malts, mild tar and some cellar and earthy notes. Flavour of caramel malts, ripe fruits, toffee notes, hay and some bready notes. Nice malty body, mild bitter palate, a bit stuffy finish though.
Bottle, thanks Hart. Pours a dark ruby auburn with a large, beige head that dissipates quickly into a blanket. Aroma is sweetish, bready, dark bread, caramel, light earthiness as well as mixed fruits. Lightly syrupy as well. Taste begins a bit sweet, but turns dry on the finish. The taste is pretty exciting: Wooden, earthy, caramel, even some apple. Unfortunately palate is light, quite carbonated and watery. Would want to try again. 500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. Poured into a lager glass. Bamsen78 (5575) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2013
Colour is light brown and transparent, looks like a watered down cola. Two fingers of off-white, soapy head but with not so good retention. No lacing left on the glass.
Light aroma of roasted malts. Not bad but nothing exceptional either.
Taste is better, again of course roasted malts, but this timetraces of chocolate flavours too.
Thin body, average carbonation. Quite dry on the palate, with a long finish.
Overall, yes, this was a nice tasty beer with high drinkability.
Bottle. Pours clear copper with Iry off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and dried fruit. Sweetish, if slightly watery, taste of malt and caramel. Dryish aftertaste. OK.
