McTapps (6889) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - AUG 18, 2013
Draught at the Bierbörse in Dorsten. Pours out in a unclear dark brown colour with steady big ehad and medium to smooth body. Nose of nuts and caramel. Taste of light aromatic malt, nuts, caramel, torf, brown sugar and chocolate cake. Hints of woods. Finishes off very quaffable and refreshing, it is aromatic and nice. Enjoyed it a lot.

Nett.

kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - NOV 29, 2008
The bottle looks good. The beer in the glass is dark, almost black. Very dry aroma. Tastes dry, too, bit not as much as exspected. Spicy-earthy, a bit smoky, notes of bacon. Finish milder, well balanced. Really good beer!

jaghana (6070) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 23, 2014
Bottle 33cl, a dark amber beer with medium head. Aroma is on caramel, toasted caramel, toasted grain, brown bread, some chocolate notes, medium creamy, body is a bit low, toasted grain finish.

ganache (5903) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2006
Bottled, mine was an altbayreuther Braunbier. Toasty, nutty aroma on a brown pour with a bubbly, creamy head. Also smells of caramel and molasses. Cellary. Doesn’t taste like a dunkel, that’s for sure. Clean, burned malt taste with toast, nuts, and even a little bit of spice in the finish. Sweet and malty all the way through. Bt thin. Not much of an aftertaste. This is somewhat unique, I’m a fan.

Bottle. This was quite dry. Got some caramel and bread dough, aswell as some grassy hops, quite subtle, but really nice, a bit toasty and nutty.

hayduke (5209) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 3, 2006
Had this one in Bayeruth at Schinner’s Brauhaus. It poured a dark brown with red tones. Big off-white head. Nose of clean malts and maybe some chocolae. Medium body. Even though it seems heavy because of its color, when you closed your eyes it was simply heavenly. I really liked this one.

Bottled. Brownish copper color. Rye bread aroma. Sweet soft bready flavor. Soft mouthfeel.

djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2014
Beige good head. Clear copper brown body. Bubbly lacings. Aroma; chocolate, coffee, malts, modest hops, liquorice, flowers. Taste; chocolate, bread, sweet, hops, prunes, plums, syrup, grass, leaves. Slightly dry. Good body. Finishes sweet fruity. Overall good brew. [50 cl. swingtop btl 5.4%abv BB02.01.15]
