Clear orange coloured with a white head.
Sweet aroma of malts, caramel and fruits.
Flavour of malts, caramel, fruits and hops.
Tastes more like bock than doppelbock. Ungstrup (39081) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 13, 2006
An amber beer with a thin light orange head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but then notes of metal and alcohol hits the tongue. OK, but quite simple. haukur (2133) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - JUN 22, 2006
extremely similar to Salvator on appearance. Very thick and firm head. Very aromatic, strong caramel, fruits and malt. Raisins, maybe a hint of roast and coffee also. Taste is thick! Very sweet and hard, very very malty. This is a crafty and complex brew, which I´m unsure what to make of. ganache (6106) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 23, 2006
Bottled. Amber pour with a thick and explosive eggshell head (which quickly reduced to nothing). Big, strong nose: sweet, alcoholic, fruity (grapish) malt. Darn, could get drunk just from smelling the thing. Taste: sweet, alcoholic, disappointing after such a good sniff. Warming. Not a very flavorful Doppelbock. Still, good sipper for a cold night, or just to wind down after a long day. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 26, 2004
bottled. aroma of honey on raisin toast. quite curious, a little vanilla and strawberry jam flavour, well-balanced, quite pale for a doppelbock without a lot of dark malt flavours but tasted as though it was 6 months old or so and had mellowed and left a nice warming sensation in the gut

Bottled. Deep ruby. Dusty aroma of burnt sugar. Very, very sweet with sticky hard mouthfeel and sugary finish. Full bodied.
