Draft $4.50 for a pint (plus tip), ABV noted as 5.6%. Traditional in every way, medium-dark brown with hues of red in the light, and there is a lightly roasted/toasted, and sweet malt aroma characteristic for the style. Palate follows as it is smooth, medium-bodied, bready, and an ever present caramel-honey like sweetness exists. slowrunner77 (12594) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JAN 24, 2017
Slightly hoppy, but not drank terribly fresh so there’s more dark roast and caramel nose and flavor than any hops (slightly pine-ey). Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Pleasant. MetalNHopHead (2129) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - NOV 3, 2016
Perhaps the best aspect of Schlafly’s House Brown is its balance. It fits comfortably in the medium-bodied range. The flavors of chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, roasted barley, and herbal hops all mix well together. Nothing is overpowering or out of place. Probably not worth the 9.29 I paid for a pint, but then, airport beer is always overpriced. It sure made the mediocre pizza (and airport) more tolerable. gregwilsonstl (2615) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 25, 2016
Brown. Nutty. Pecan. Kinda malty. Good but nit great. On tap at bottleworks. bigguns22 (800) - Maryland, USA - SEP 27, 2016
A very good brown. Pour is mahogany color with a small cream head. Aroma soft and nutty. A malty beer that’s not to sweet and easy to drink welcome fall.

Aroma is toasted malts, dark bread and a hint of coffee. The flavor is toasted malts, coffee, caramel/slight chocolate, fruit and a mildly hoppy finish. beastiefan2k (4073) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Tap at the STL airport fauxpub. Clear, empty brown color. Just a little charred, caramalized malt nose. That I like. The rest is an empty shell of a style. Just too cookie cutter, all the essence and individuality sucked out to make it an overly simplified yet craft product. Just the right amount of hops, not bitter, not overly malty. Not a thin or thick body. Really an amazingly stunning achievement until you realize its soulless. Like a politician saying all the right things but underneath you know they have sold there soul to the highest bidder. Hmmm... am I overthinking this? drfabulous (8485) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Draught at Village Idiot. Big brown with some notes of chocolate and nice hops. Creamy. Good. MrBunn (2844) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2015
On tap at Bottleworks. Pours a deep brown with a thin head and aromas of leather, cocoa and autumn leaves. Flavor is clean with lots of leather. BVery (11241) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 31, 2015
Tap at STL airport - concourse E. Brown amber pour with a sticky head. Malty, almond, some sweetness, mild chocolate - pretty good.
