Cask @ Flying Saucer KC. Milky, cloudy, yellow brown appearance with an ivory head. Fairly piney, slightly earthy hoppy nose. A little citrusy, piney, bitter hoppy, slightly bready flavor. Bitter, piney aftertaste. Grizzle (80) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - AUG 8, 2011
It’s been a looooong time, RateBeer. 12oz. -> English pint. Pours an orange blossom honey, with an egg shell head. Decent lacing. Smells of hops, grass, light malts, and alcohol. Tastes of an initial maltiness, which is immediatly suppressed by the hops. That’s not to say this is crazy hoppy. After that initial sweetness is blended, this is an appropriately balanced beer. Cheers. Drake (14058) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 7, 2011
12 ounce bottle from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Huge pineapple and citrus notes in the aroma with a dark resiny finish. Reminiscent of tar but not necessarily in a bad way. The taste is tropical and citrus hops with a bitter finish. That tar note is here also, and this time it is offensive. Medium bodied. Weird beer. Terminus (3710) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 6, 2011
bottle-pours bright orange with a small soapy foamy white head with lite lacing from the start. nose is citric, floral with hints of mangos, green onions, lite catty note and lots of pine. flavors showcase more of the citrus to start (mangos, pineapple) with lots of resinous and pine on the finish. you would think a beer like this would be more sweet from the nose but it really dries out very nice on the finish. tingles on the tongue. My only gripe with the beer is the body-it has a bit too much carbonation which aids to the tongue-pine needle like feeling. long finish with lingering pine and citric hops. malts are sweet and cracker-like which showcase the hops very well. this is a very well balanced IPA if you ask me and exactly how Vyvvy describes it as an in-between of east and west coast american ipa styles. tasty! Bottle. Pours a great looking clear amber with white head. Aroma really tickled portions in my brain and made it go numb....very clean notes of pine and citrus balanced extremely well but not overtaking the caramel that follows. Flavor is much the same, just incredibly balanced with a terrific finish. Light-medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Overall, I am really impressed with this brew! Good stuff!

Pours a nice clear amber with a thick, fluffy and rather peristent buff-white head that leaves some good lacing. Hoppy aroma has a firm undertone of grapefruit and sour orange. Flavor is hoppy and fairly bitter with a solid sour citrus tone that seems to be equal parts orange and grapefruit and a tinny hint. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and edgy. Overall, not too shabby. hoosiers1994 (684) - Maryland, USA - JUL 30, 2011
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pour is light amber gold with a thick frothy white head. Aroma is astringent, pungent with floral and pine. Taste is malt up front, very clean, with citrus and pine on the finish. Nice balance in this one with maltiness and a linger hop finish. The best beer I have had from this brewery. Overall, a good American IPA, not really East Coast, or West Coast but somewhere in between, kinda like St. Louis. BeerandBlues2 (13695) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 28, 2011
Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small, fizzy and frothy white head, medium-short retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy fruity and floral hops with moderate fruity esters (apricot, peach, pear), and biscuit malt notes. Flavor is moderate hop bitterness and flavor with nice supporting malt. Finish is dry. Medium body, warmth, and heavy carbonation. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Bottle. Poured a darker orange color with a two finger head, that left lacing on the glass as it went. Aroma was spruce, pines, and basement aromas. Flavor was grapefruit, citrus, and a piney hop explosion. Flavor expolded on the palate. Very hoppy finish. Sticky and oily mouthfeel. Way above average beer.
