Bottle. Tart lemon, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow color with small head. Tart lemon and wheat malt flavor. Light body. Not a bad beer but not much like a true weizen.

12oz bottle from Picks poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark yellow with about 1 finger of bright white head. Aroma of banana and clove. Taste is lightly sweet. Taste of banana and nutmeg. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much to speak of in way of finish. Overall, not too bad. Great for drinking outside during the hot days of summer but not much else.

On tap, Schlafly Bottleworks. Hazy, dark yellow with a medium density white head. Traditional banana and clove aroma is heavy on the wheat graininess. Moderately sweet. Fairly standard example of a hefe, though at times it seemed a little husky and raw.

Pours hazy gold with a smallish but long-lasting white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Tastes of bread dough, clove and banana. Nice balance.

Bottle with gooovikings in KC. Thanks Jetson! Moderately cloudy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Spicy yeasty, moderate clove, light banana, wheat malty aroma. Slightly bready, spicy, quite yeasty, moderate clove, light banana, mildly tart flavor. Yeasty aftertaste. Above average but not super special.

On tap at Bottleworks. Pour is a dusty and washed out straw with aromas of grass, bananas and wheat. Flavor is similar, simple and decent.

Aroma of banana, clove, light nutmeg, hay and dough. Appearance is cloudy gold with scant white head. Flavor has banana and clove up front, but misses the nutmeg, and the finish is of slight hay. Palate is very bubbly and sticky. Not as excited over this one as Id like, but above average for the style.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of wheat, caramel malts, and light hops. A lightly flavored beer. Average texture and an average beer.

Draft at The Royale. How have I not rated this one yet? Pours a pale cloudy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of banana, lemon, bready malts, wheat, and clove. Flavor is the same, but drops out a bit from the nose. Light-medium bodied, with a sweet, bready mouthfeel and low carbonation. Dry finish. All right for the style.

12oz., bottling date 3-25-11. Spicy, floral and lightly sweet aroma, full of clove, banana, dough and honey, with faint suggestions of lemon and must. Thoroughly cloudy straw yellow color (bottle swirled and poured), head is lasting and bubbly with plenty of lacing. Gently sweet, citric, spicy flavor profile, with wheaty grain, lemon, bubblegum and a brief, spicy bitterness appearing towards the finish, which is mildly acidic, featuring long, lingering yeast esters. Copious but soft effervescence on the palate, body is light-medium. Balanced just well enough to be entirely refreshing, quite flavorful as well. Very good example of the style.
