12 ounce bottle, bottled on March 24, 2011. Served in a weizen glass, the brew pours a cloudy straw gold color with a 2 inch frothy white head. Head retention is excellent, with a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is wheat, lemon peel, cloves, bananas and a bit of peppery spice. The taste is the same as the aroma, but I think the lemon peel, wheat and clove flavors are the strongest. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit creamy and it’s also nice and refreshing. I think it’s a good overall brew, I’ll have to buy more the next time I come across this. Definitely worth a try. theisti (4114) - Kansas, USA - APR 27, 2011
12 oz bottle purchased Ranchmart at in Leawood, Kansas. Brewed with love on 03 25 2011. Pour is a hazed yellow light golden with a loose two inch white head that falls quickly and noisily. Aroma is lightly sweet citrus, gentle clove and banana yeast and a full wheat. Really integrated and soft nose. The taste integrates the light citrus sweetness with the wheat beautifully, and transitions nicely to the yeast notes to spice up the finish. Really fresh, full and satisfying flavor. Palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouthfeel, clean and dry finish. Really drinkable, an excellent Hefe. Patrickctenchi (6556) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Pours cloudy yellow with a short, white head.
Aroma is lemon, banana...
Taste is pleasant wheat,...subdued spicing....crisp.
I like this...it’s beer, it’s wheat....not overblown with cloves and spice...
Enjoyed it. wxman (1814) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - MAY 11, 2011
NOTE: The first four ratings from 2009 are NOT for this beer. This only recently became available. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a nice thick white hefe head. Aroma is clove and banana. Smooth rich weizen taste, only slightly sour, but dominated by sweet malt, banana esters and a pleasant breadiness. This is a thirst quencher, and Schlafly’s best of all their wheat beers. 12oz., bottling date 3-25-11. Spicy, floral and lightly sweet aroma, full of clove, banana, dough and honey, with faint suggestions of lemon and must. Thoroughly cloudy straw yellow color (bottle swirled and poured), head is lasting and bubbly with plenty of lacing. Gently sweet, citric, spicy flavor profile, with wheaty grain, lemon, bubblegum and a brief, spicy bitterness appearing towards the finish, which is mildly acidic, featuring long, lingering yeast esters. Copious but soft effervescence on the palate, body is light-medium. Balanced just well enough to be entirely refreshing, quite flavorful as well. Very good example of the style.

(12oz bottle thanks to Exiled) opaque yellow pour with soapy white bubbles. Nose of lemon, bubblegum, clove and wheat. Taste of lemon, clove, nice spices, very well balanced all the way around. Great hefe. hayduke (5188) - Eureka, California, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Courtesy of Strykzone. Poured gold with a big fat white head and nice lacing Nose of banana and clove. Medium body and smooth palate . Lots of classic hefe flavor with lots of banana, cloves, and ripe tropical fruit. Flavorful finish. Solid example of the style and very nice to drink. seymour (1989) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - SEP 13, 2013
Tasted from a bottle and on draft at Bottleworks, equally tasty both ways. It poured a hazy light golden color with fluffy white foam, long-lasting with lace. Huge banana aromas, some clove and black pepper, grain harvest, rising bread dough, freshly-baked white bread, light noble hops. Flavor was tart, wheaty, nice balance of malt sweetness to tangy hops bitterness, pleasant chalky yeast impression. An awesome Hefeweizen. topherh (1928) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - MAY 19, 2011
Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is clove, banana, citrus, and wheat. Flavor is light citrus, some wheaty notes, and a bit of yeasty spice. valpoaj (742) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Pours a clear golden (particularly so for the style) with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is light, bordering on faint, with hints of clove and banana...hint of bubble gum back there. Flavor is similarly light, and somewhat wine-like, but I found it to be a pleasant rendition of the style. Palate is light, and slightly watery. Overall, I really liked this beer, even if it was a bit different than what I was expecting.
