3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours bright golden from growler, creamy head laces the tulip glass. Aroma of tart apple and mild banana uneasiness. Creamy on first taste yielding to a surprising bitter, refreshing finish that nicely matches the tart apple hints. Flavors and aroma deepen as it warms in the glass.
Bottle purchased at Randall’s. Wheat and mild yeast aroma, but not necessarily in a pleasant way. Pours clear golden yellow with little head and minimal carbonation, is relatively easy on the palate. However this is partly because it tastes quite watery - initially has taste if yeast and wheat but lacks complexity as it sits on the palate. I wish there was something else notable in here... Spice? Floral? Fruit? There’s not a whole lot to go on here. I expect a little more from a Belgian, though I guess it makes sense this is only 7% abv - low for the style. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized creamy-soapy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was yeasty, sweet-tart candies and citrus. The flavor was tart, chalky and citric with a lemon Pez note followed by dust, must and pepper. Medium length finish. Medium body. Disappointing. tsd08460 (1164) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - JUN 12, 2015

Cleat clear gold pour from bottle. Fruit forward. Apples pears and a sugary spice. Pretty well done. jgb9348 (6250) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAY 24, 2015
Hazy copper and orange-tinted golden body with a very nice glow and a single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright yeast, wheat, alcohol, coriander seed, a bit of cloves and a decent amount of curacao - very nice indeed. Medium-bodied; Deep chewy yeastie and wheat flavours up front with the large presence of full oranges, some white pepper, a touch of grass and herbal elements and a good wheat and coriander seed freshness at the tail end. Aftertaste is quite complex with a good deal of bite to the finish, showing some orange sweetness, spice complexities and a pleasant and long-lasting malt profile that really shows off the wheat. Overall, a belgie ale that shows itself as truly belgian - you wouldn’t have guessed this came from Saint Louis if you were sipping this while eating a box of frites at Friterie Tabora in Bruxelles. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 26-April-2015 for US$12,99 for a six pack sampled at home in Washington on 24-May-2015.

Goblet on tap. Dull gold color. Aroma of bubble gum and wheat with sweetness. Great banana flavor, sweet and fruity. Could drink a lot of this. Light palate. Like a good tripel p0rkch0p (117) - Missouri, USA - APR 17, 2015
Golden and smooth. Sweet with mild fruit. Nice to have now and then, each one seems to be better than the first. Dr_Fellini (1020) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2015
Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy light orangish-yellow color with a frothy off white head. Aroma is a mild fruit, belgian yeast, touch of spice. Similar in the flavor. Light and very drinkable. I’m not a big belgian ale drinker, but this is tasty. BeerScout49 (49) - - APR 2, 2015
Light and bubbly with a yellow color and whit foam. Peppery taste. Good basic intro beer for the Belgian style but not one I would immediately go back to again. CousinBrenden (131) - St Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 6, 2015
Light creamy lemon zest. Orange peel flavor super light malt. Good crisp carbonation. Nice very nice beer.
