COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Quadrupel is easily one of the most rich and full bodied beers we make, so when Paul Hayden at the Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton, Missouri asked us to age some in a bourbon barrel, we were happy to oblige. The resulting ale is loaded with oak and bourbon character, as well as the rich, dried fruit character of the Quadrupel. We have created a unique taste you will only find in this extremely limited edition. We filled just one bourbon barrel and may never produce this beer again, so enjoy!

Bottle. Ruby color with thin head. Aroma is sweet, bourbon, vanilla, cherry, fruit, candy. Taste follows. Nice and malty, good amount of bourbon, vanilla, fruit. Really like the regular version of their quad, this definitely did not disappoint.

Tasting at Matt's
Dark brown color. Mild aroma of bourbon and caramel. Robust body, but the alcohol is very strong too; caramel base, a bit earthy, light bourbon, vegetables, spirit.
Not an impressive Quad, unbalanced. Not a fan.

Bottle Pours deep dark brown hue with a nice soapy beige head and very sparse lacing. Nose of boozy dark malts, vanilla, slight tartness going on-maybe from the barrel or the young age of this beer? I dunno. Flavors are very similar to how it smells-big dark fruits, lovely vanilla, wood, and a very dry finish. the alcohol is well hidden in the flavors but it does warm you up. Body is slightly thin being that it is 12%. Very straight forward barrel aged brew here. Well done and tasty. I am suprised how dry this is.

Medium brown. Thin head. There is a bit of cherry on the nose, and a little bit of brown sugar. There is a lot of brown sugar character, the fruit dropped off a bit on the palate, A touch of alcohol, and generally a malty character with soft fruit notes. Maybe it's a bit messy, but that's about it.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head Nose brings out notes of bourbon upfront, with dark dried fruits and toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with bourbon barrels, a hint of smoke, caramel and toffee. Wonderful bourbon character, with a slight smoky character. Excellent.

Poured from bottle, pours a very dark brown with a thick light brown head, the aroma has a good amount of bourbon and vanilla mixed in with some dark fruit and caramel sweetness, the flavor has a strong sweet caramel front end with some bourbon in the finish, pretty big beer, not bad.

Taster at RBSG 2014 Dressel’s Pub Beer Dinner. Hazy caramel brown with no head. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, coconut. Tastes of bourbon, booze, dark fruit, caramel. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Syrupy mouthfeel. Had this side by side with the regular Quad which was slightly better than the barrel aged.
