Poured from bottle. Aroma of vanilla, spice and malt. Nice lookin mahogany with lasting tan head. I taste vanilla, banana, pepper, clove, creamy malt. A hint of booze warms nicely. This is good stuff. Gets better as it warms. Well done. davey101 (751) - Connecticut, USA - APR 24, 2014
12 oz bottle into a snifter. Pours a clear copper/red with a finger of solid khaki foam with sticky lacing. Nose is cloves, all spice, and cinnamon with a heavy dose of caramel. Taste is earthy hops, clove, toffee and cinnamon. Finishes spicy and sweet. Medium mouth feel with the 8% hidden well, Really solid Christmas beer. Pours a deep, clear, copper in color with a medium beige head. The aroma has a holiday feel to it, with lots of cinnamon and spices, clove, ginger, nutmeg, and caramel. Taste is malty and still very Christmasy. It is a bit sweet. Its big on cinnamon, with gingerbread flavors standing out as well. Lesser impressions include clove, caramel, and cherry. Holiday spiciness is noticed throughout as well. The aftertaste is a short cinnamon and cherry. Medium bodied, a thicker texture, while average in carbonation. The alcohol content is really masked well here. I really enjoyed this one. This is easily one of the better Christmas beers that you will find. THOUGHTS: Rather sweet and quite orangey. Very Christmasy, but in a non-traditional Christmas beer way. Very nice. Way better than I was expecting. Hid alcohol very well.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium amber with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma had heavy toasted malt, caramel, honey and orange; slightly herbal and spicy hops; clove; slight pepper and Chrismtasiness. It sort of tasted like orange marmalade on toast with a little spice. The initial flavor was moderate to heavily sweet and lightly acidic; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet, lightly acidic and slightly bitter with an average duration. There was orange, caramel and toasted malt, more orange, clove and spice, maybe a little pepper, slightly herbal hops and genuine Christmasiness. The slightly more than medium body was a little syrupy and slightly sticky on the lips and then rather dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and ever so sightly alcoholic finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 6, 2012
Draft. Clear amber body, medium beige head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/orange, some earthy, caramel, light cardamom. Taste is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit, malty/caramel. Medium body, quite drinkable.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a frigid November night prior to making some food. Appearance is a dark ruby with a moderate frothy tan head. Aroma is potent and sweet with cinnamon, caramel, apple, clove, lot going on with this. Taste goes down with a light sour, definite sweetness, overall pretty smooth. Good stuff. bnokk (539) - Lee, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 5, 2014
APPEARANCE – great copper color, nice bright white head & powerful lacing.
NOSE - slight hint of spice to it. Not overpowering.
FLAVOR - lightly malty, good indiscernible spice.
NOTES - thoroughly enjoyable winter warmer style beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a deep rich copper color. Small creamy khaki head. Aroma is chock full of Yuletide spices, including cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cardamom. Sweet caramel malt with nice complex spice and alcohol warmth. Floral hops are subdued but welcomed. Notes of butterscotch and holiday spice rack. I rather liked this one. jbruner (5121) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Pours a clear golden brown on tap with dissipating off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of Christmas spice and nuts. Taste follows: ginger, all spice, clove. Thinner, but booze well hidden, soft carbonation, decent Christmas beer.
