A score of 91? Mine must be old? Too one-dimensional with lots of hops citrus rind and pine resin and bitterness, but there’s no malt character to back it up. Not terrible, like most Schlafly beers, but not exactly good. Lubiere (14341) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 22, 2015
A hazed golden amber ale with a thick frothy white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light oxidation, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with citrusy floral hops, pink grapefruit, still solid after a few years. Frozer (241) - Illinois, USA - MAR 21, 2015
Thick foamy head leaves white lacing. Citrus hop aroma. Nice bitterness with a little bit too an aftertaste. tmoreau (4816) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAR 18, 2015
On tap at John’s Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL., dispensed to a shaker showing a hazed, orangey gold hue, with a meringue-like layer of cream colored head foam, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was initially cloaked by the persistent froth, but gradually revealed a nose that wasn’t altogether fresh, but very dank & stinky, followed by citrus as grapefruit, and some resinous notes. Medium+ bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste also presented some malt sweetness, and like creaminess to the mouthfeel. The hop influence was strong, citrus & rind astringency that lingered well past the empty glass, and a full serving of water. A hearty APA whose bitterness rivaled many DIPAs that I’ve sampled. mar (5469) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Amber with a cream head. Nose is fruity hops, sticky, florals, and bright. Great palate, fruity hops, sticky palate, smooth, and a easy finish

On tap at lambert international airport. Good bitter hoppy pale ale with the only sweetness coming through right up front. The rest of each sip and aftertaste is dominated by hop bitterness. I really liked this one.

In my beer drinking I’ve came a long way and these malty style APA’s don’t cut it anymore. This one has a strong and distinct malty backing and finish. Not enough hops for a dry hopped ale for me. Kind of let down by this one. Roonai (319) - - FEB 22, 2015
On tap at the at louis airport. Hazy orange with a white head that only briefly graced us with its presence. Orange peel and wheat and hops were dominant but nothing overwhelming. trichoeg85 (40) - Sumrall, Mississippi, USA - FEB 13, 2015
Poured from 12oz bottle to pint glass. Weak thin head dissipated quickly with minimal lacing. Citrus and honey aroma. Straw colored with significant hazing. Piney citrus taste with minimal malt sweetness. Overall an APA that struggles to identify itself. Scipio (1311) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2015
Pours a clear golden with a thinner white head. The aroma has grassy hops, caramel, mild grapefruit and mango, and some spice. The taste has some bitterness, with heavy grapefruit and some pineapple. There are some floral hops, and some lesser impressions of pine and caramel. Aftertaste is grapefruit. This is lighter in body, has a slick texture, and about average in carbonation. Its alright and is rather easy to drink. Its nothing to knock your socks off though.
