3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Brewers. Burnt orange with somewhat disappointing aroma (old bottle). Some breadiness mixed with light bitter citrus flavor. Aftertaste is a little bitter and dry. A nice, but forgettable offering.
On tap at Shamrocks. Pours a golden color with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, bit of malt sweetness and grain. Taste citrus and light caramel sweetness and grain. Some bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Fairly average. jandd1983 (4442) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - SEP 8, 2017
On tap and made exclusively for Shamrock's. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, florals and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, florals, caramel and hops. It had a medium body with smooth carbonation. Decent. ryrpat (378) - Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2017
Solid apa. Lots of mild flavor. Very smooth and incredibly drinkable. Will definitely look to have this again

Trying to remember the various great beers I had while bicycling cross-country last year. This one seems not too well known outside it’s local area, but is a damn good beer. I hadn’t been in the States for some years and was quite impressed with the improvements and availability of good craft beers (you are excused, Utah) and I recall going into a bottle shop somewhere in Middle America, land of Bud Light, and asking for something ’dry hopped’. The knowledgeable guy in the shop sold me this. Full flavored, well hopped, not straying far from its style, it is a fine one! Clareeses (144) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 15, 2017
On draft at the airport because I needed it. Pours clear amber, little head retention. I have very little to say about the aroma...barely discernible. Hoppy with an almost pilsner-y malt aftertaste, finishes bitter. Overall ok to drink but nothing spectacular, like most Schlafly brews imo.

Slightly hazy perfectly coloured body of copper and bronze with a glowing orange tint and a thinnish one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of crisp fresh grassy and very herbal hops with some noticeable malt and alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal hops with a bitter kick and some nicely balanced malt right behind. Aftertaste is rich and robust with the grass and herbs still very noticeable, but also with the malt and the bitterness. Overall, a nice APA with a big bitter taste and profile that shows well and lasts very long! I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught during a tap takeover at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 13-February-2017 for US$4,00 at the end of my driveway. slowrunner77 (12455) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JAN 24, 2017
From the Bonfire Box. Didn’t drink as fresh as I should have, but still is a nicely balanced mellow apa. Grapefruit, pine, grass, caramel and a touch of biscuit/bread. Moderate bitterness. shrubber85 (11506) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAR 18, 2016
Bottle. Floral grapefruit peel and biscuit malt aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with nice white head. Sweet floral orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/grass flavor. Nice body. rondphoto (4483) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JAN 4, 2016
bottle (dated 8/27/15) @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of malt and grass. Hazy medium amber with lots of specks of sediment - not a good sign from a Schlafly brew. White head that shrinks to a cover, slices of lace. Taste is full-bodied caramel malt that adds a burst of carbonation on the swallow, turning from there to enough hops to balance. The malt is always present. Not sure if this is the intended taste for this brew, but it works well enough. freekyp (2363) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 17, 2015
A brawny American Pale with a big pine/citrus and resin hop nose, but a lightly sweet lightly nutty mild malt backbone. Finishes lightly sweet then swings back with a bitter whack before settling into a mild citrus-laced malt fade. A fine looker as well, pouring hazy amber with a frothy resilient white head that drags scattered lace across the quickly emptying glass. A truly fine APA that showcases the best qualities of the style.
