750ml bottle-pours a foamy tan head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-roasty/cocoa/spices. Taste is medium malt-roasty/cocoa/spices, some hops bite. Finishes semi dry. OK effervescence. hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 9, 2015
Bottle... Pours mostly clear and dirty orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The nose presents earthy and spicy notes layered upon more subtle notes of caramel and toffee. Full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and the carbonation is nearly still. The flavor features rich components of sweet pralines and mild, crusty bitterness. Finishes minerally and moderately sweet. phaleslu (10462) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 7, 2009
750 ml bottle from Culinaria. Pours a cloudy reddish color with a big beige head. Aroma of mixed winter spices, sweet malts, caramel, toast, berry fruits, and a little alcohol. Flavor of malt, cinammon, nutmeg, berries, raisins, fig, pine hops, honey, bread, and warming alcohol. Medium bodied and dry, with a bready mouthfeel. Just a hint of roast on the alcoholic finish. Interesting beer, I might have to grab another and let it sit for a while.

750 bought at Bottleworks. Spicy and malty. Sweetness is just right. Amber color with some very nice caramel tones. This is very good. Strykzone (7490) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2010
A very attractive pour. Amber brown with plenty of visible carbonation. A big tan head has strong retention that tries my patience. Aroma is fruit, bread, caramel, and light spices. Alcohol is prominent in the flavor. Chocolate, fruit, red hot candies, soft spices. Licking my lips brings malt flavors. The chocolate stayed throughout and described the finish. Lots of subtleties here. A hint of hop late. Warming throughout. Very enjoyable. GenDV138 (7470) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2016
