Overboard on the coffee in my opinion. Close to a black pour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are both coffee. Bitter finish. If your looking for coffee, give it a try. Yes, I read the name, I would have liked a little more caramel/chocolate, or something else to balance it a little. vyvvy (6731) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 3, 2011
Special one off that was on cask at The Tap Room in late 2009. Pours very dark with a tan head. The aroma has coffee, roasted malt and a good deal of chocolate. The mouthfeel is very thick and velvety with some very light soft carbonation. The taste has lots of dark chocolate, coffee, roast and vanilla. The finish has charred malts and some warming alcohol. This is quite good for what it is, but coffee impy stouts aren’t doing it for me these days.
