12oz to pint has a small creamy cap revealing sumptuous dark brown underlying fill. Color preludes mochachino aroma that advances into taste. Nice balanced body with continued complexity and light bitterment towards end. A stout worth talking about. uncle_rick (61) - Missouri, USA - APR 5, 2012
Well there is no need to ever buy Guinness in St. Louis again. Dark pour with a thin dark carbonated tan head. Coffee chocolate and some fruit in the nose. Taste is the same, and very smooth. 8% alcohol is well hidden. Great beer from a brewery that has been slowly winning me over.

Just a great dry stout. Pours a silky black with a light brown head. Aroma is rich roasted malts and dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, dry sweet dark chocolate with a small hop bitterness in the end. abcfan (920) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 28, 2014
This was a nice surprise! Pours deep brown with no head. Huge chocolate aroma. Very smooth, malted finished with a slight hop bite. Well done. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2016
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL, enjoyed at home on a rainy late April weeknight, kind of miserable. This beer was fantastic though. Very rich, decadent sweet stout with huge chocolate and light coffee notes. Chocolate came out fantastically. Kind of a bummer that this is a special release, I would definitely imbibe in this one again.

I have found this beer to be one of the easiest drinking stouts that I have tried. Pours pretty standard stout dark brown with decent head. Sweet but well balanced with the chocolate and roast flavors. SkyinBrian (430) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 15, 2008
My first sip of this ended in me smiling from ear to ear...with the exception of the year round staple oatmeal stout, I really dig all schlafly stouts, but this may be the best of them. Very roasty and big yet drinkable. I look forward to drinking this again next year. DerBiermeister (586) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 15, 2008
The aroma is quite malty, I think. The appearance is very dark. The flavor is sweet, fairly well balanced, and yet intriguingly complex. It is not entirely straightforward and it continues to reveal itself in its aftertaste. The first taste is a pleasant surprise. The palate, though complex, does not seem entirely balanced, and slightly stilted, but on the whole this is a really quality beer. thedm (6306) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 4, 2010
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized dark brown colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was chocolate and dark malt. The thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thick flavor contained notes of roasted malt toasted malt dark malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Billicus (291) - @RED BHUT JOIKIAS!, Paulsboro, New Jersey, USA - MAR 2, 2012
