Black, light head. Roasty dark chocolate cocoa aroma.Bit of oaky wood. Same in taste, dry roasty cocoa. Pretty good stout but have had better coffee stouts.

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown to black with tan head. Dark chocolate and raisins on the nose. Flavor opens with mild fruity notes, quickly overtaken by dark chocolate. Coffee and alcohol come through on the finish, somewhat bitter and warming. Medium body. A little rough around the edges, but enjoyable.

Solid dark brown color with a good sized frothy beige head that persists. Big coffee on the aroma and creamed coffee on the flavor. Could use a big more sweetness and body to stand up to the huge coffee, but tasty just the same.

Lots of coffee here, and not enough roast to sustain it. Pours dark brown with OK head. Slightly sour cloying finish. Bottle sample pour at whole foods.

Bottle into stout glass, opaque deep dark brown (black) color with creamy tan head. Aroma notes of dark coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate and light caramel. Taste adds espresso, chocolate, oats and vanilla. Light-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, lively, creamy with coffee roast finish. Very solid coffee stout.

A good breakfast beer. Nice, dark and surprisingly smooth. A good mouth feel, but a bit chalky on the aftertaste. Smells just like a cup of coffee. Well worth the drink if you like flavored stouts.

On tap at the St. Louis brewery- love this spot on layovers! Ours dark dark DARK mahogany- smell and taste are HELLA loads or espresso beans... Not too heavy on the mouthfeel but really not getting much other than coffee/espresso..... Impressive how one note it it.... But its clean and clear to taste. Therefore- me liking the taste of coffee and this being VERY COFFEE FRONT - Im not mad. But if I didnt like coffee... Wed be screwed and drain pouring this one... And questioning why we ordered a coffee stout...

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Dark brown pour with a quick tan head. Aroma of cold roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is very good with the showcase being the roasted coffee mixed with flaked oats and dark chocolate. Mildly bitter finish but nothing unpleasant. A very well done coffee stout.
