This collaboration with Kaldis Coffee uses the cold toddy method of extraction for the coffee. We mix it with Oatmeal Stout for an exceptionally delicious beer.

Into a snifter. Inch of light tan head. Dark brown, can still see light coming through when held up. Stick your nose into a bag of freshly roasted coffee. Thats what we have here. Also some burnt malt and a hint of vanilla and dark chocolate. Tastes like roasted malt, coffee, bitter ending. Crisp and light bodied for an oatmeal stout. Moderate carbonation, less would be better. Good to drink. I like that there is no doubt that it is a coffee stout. Great looking and aroma. The taste and mouthfeel were fine but not standout.

A Schalfly beer that is actually kind of good? I dont really believe it but it is this beer. This is the "cold cup of coffee" style of coffee stout and its pretty well done. Theres lots of roasty coffee, of course, along w/ some subtle fruity cherry notes and vanilla. This is a bit sweeter than I would like and consequently feels just a hair too heavy and sluggish to me plus there is a very slight green pepper note that doesnt ruin anything but those are my only two complaints. Overall, this is a fairly decent cup of coffee that gets you drunk.

12 ounce bottle. Translucent black brown color. Moderate rocky tan head. Big coffee and roasted malt nose. Flavor follows the nose. Notes of tobacco and French roast coffee. There is an underlying, earthy oat-like character at play. Rich and flavorful with substantial body and complexity. Very nice indeed.

Bottle from Discount. Pours a deep brown to black with almost no head. Huge coffee nose that dominates with cacao nib, wood and milk chocolate undertones. Good carbonation with more chocolate and coffee. Light on the palate but has a nitro cold brew quality to it. Roasty coffee finish, with some sweetness. This is legit!

12oz bottle from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. Brown pour with a rapidly disappearing beige head leaving no lace. Aroma has espresso, light molasses, other malts. One dimensional nose, but it is a solidly good dimension. Taste is of coffee malt and some other sweet malts. Lightly roasty. Medium bodied. Little alcohol presence. The blend is solid. The carbonation is soft. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet. Shrug? For a Schlafly, and a one-dimensional brew, this is solid enough and fairly tasty. 13.7

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Poured ink black, but failed to retain any head or lacing. Strong nose of strong, black coffee. It tasted more like coffee than beer. Not really boozy, but thats ok. A little on the watery side (felt more like a porter than a stout). Cheers!

Bottle. Dark pour, small head. Coffee strong on the nose. Flavor of coffee, oats, nuts and caramel. A pretty well balanced coffee beer

12 ounce bottle. Pours a pitch black color that is actually dark brown when held up to the light with a small white head. A huge coffee nose. Very rich coffee, vanilla, green coffee beans, sugary vanilla. Coffee beers arent usually my thing, but this is still good.

As Coffee Stout. A deep dark stout with a thick collapsing brown head. In aroma, smooth resinous coffee grind with light chocolate, treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light vanilla, light chalky notes, nice and smooth. Biropholie imports.

Bottle, pours dark brown and two finger tan head. Coffee aroma and taste with a little dairy. Pretty straight forward. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite. Dark brown pour. Minimal head and light lace. Coffee aroma. Medium sweetened coffee flavor. Mild lactose flavor. Finishes dry, some roastiness. Fairly clean, average carbonation. Solid.
