12oz bottle. Very dark brown near-black color, thin tan head. Smooth carbonation and texture. Hearty, like an oatmeal stout should be... Great aftertaste, very different! Excellent coffee aroma, totally authentic and spot-on. This is clearly the real deal. Awesome roasty bitter taste, that really lasts... A great-tasting brew. arminjewell (9585) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 30, 2011
Nice deep black pour, thin tan head. Big coffee and chocolate aroma, with notes of roast as well. Taste is a big iced coffee, with hints of roast in the middle and a bitter finish. Very coffee forward, but with a nice creamy, oat palate. 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 22, 2004
#1000 rating, and cool enough, it happened on the same day that my truck hit 200,000 miles on the way from Chicago to St. Louis. This one has a deep brown color with a creamy tan head. Strong nose of fresh espresso beans and chocolate... like eating those chocolate covered beans. Sweet coffee and creame flavor initially, then a nice even milk and scotch flavor, finishing off with a thick, robust finish. The flavor doesn't match the aroma, though, and with a little unwanted butter in the finish, this isn't the best coffee stout, but I still love anything that includes my two favorite drugs. mmmmmm douglas88 (9058) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 13, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Pours a pitch black color that is actually dark brown when held up to the light with a small white head. A huge coffee nose. Very rich coffee, vanilla, green coffee beans, sugary vanilla. Coffee beers arenít usually my thing, but this is still good. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Lots of coffee here, and not enough roast to sustain it. Pours dark brown with OK head. Slightly sour cloying finish. Bottle sample pour at whole foods.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a fairly transparent light cola with off-white head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells solid too; dark malt and lots of pleasant coffee. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good, not great. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - AUG 19, 2009
I first tried this quite awhile ago and I wasnít a huge fan of coffee beers... but going back, itís a nice decent brew. SudsMcDuff (8388) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - SEP 15, 2011

Aroma has coffee, some truffles and dark chocolate. Flavour has mocha, some dark chocolate, licorice and hints of cocoa. Feels a bit thin but I like the strong coffee aromas here.
Scored this via Secret Santa July 2008. Thanks Saint Nick! 12oz bottle pours a slightly watery, nearly opaque black with a thin, delicate tan head. Aroma is all coffee, some roasted nuts and toast. Flavor is more coffee, some dark brown sugar and a touch of bitterness like a lemon rind. Slightly watery on the palate. Definitely a coffee stout, but could have used a maltier background to give it a little more.
