This beer is light, yet well balanced and bodied as stated on the bottle itself. It has flavour and yet is not overpowering. This is probably my favourite Koelsch - arguably even better than my favourite authentic Koelsch from Koeln (Cologne, Germany) called Frueh.
Sehr gut! Ausgezeichnet! Daumen hoch!
(Very good! Excellent! Thumbs up!)

Beer has a great flavor. Flows smoothly over the palate with a great mouth feel. Overall a very good beer. Drink4Satan (677) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 12, 2011
12oz bottle, bubble pint. Effervescent, clear pale gold pour with a sturdy, frothy white head, which remains at 1 finger thickness until the last sip! Soft, pleasant floral hops accompany a mellow honey and light malt aroma. Flavour is medium sweet and slightly grainy. Authentically Kolsch-like. Aftertaste has good duration for the style and leaves a pleasant impression of light fleshy fruits, apple and sweet grain. This is a solid Kolsch from a solid brewery that very rarely disappoints. Rate to style slutface! kumlerme (5) - - AUG 23, 2013 does not count
A clean bright golden ale. A real good lighter drinking beer. A great intro to other Schlafly beers. MrRain (472) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Draft at the Tap Room. This is a staple beer for me and I don’t know why I’m just now rating it. This beer has a nice grainy aroma with a hint of lager and pilsener smell. It pours clear golden yellow with tiny little carbonation bubbles. The flavor is slightly dry and fruity and represents the style extremely well. This is a summertime must if you’re in the area.

A tad bit of corn in the aroma. Looks decent. A great beer to start out with after a hard day of work. A nice crispness and some light fruitiness in the body with a crisp dry finish. williamherbert (1546) - Syracuse, New York, USA - APR 30, 2014
Bright yellow color. Some head, a decent sheet of lace. Looks better than your typical Kolsch. Tiny bubbles of carbonation.
First sniff is dry, bready English stuff. Has a mild, crisp aroma. The hop is strictly a mild bittering agent. It’s sweet, but try enough to not be sugary. The bready Kolsch style serves this one well. Even more than 6 months old it still smells quite fresh.
The "beer" flavor here, if that makes sense, is really strong. It has all the best qualities of a lager at a townie bar, but with only the malt sweetness, and none of the rice and HFCS. The aftertaste is lemon and pollen.
The mouthfeel is creamy and lingers a bit, but it’s very smooth and slides down the gullet. This is a year-round beer: smooth enough for the summers but with enough OOMPH for an autumn or winter bender. Schwarzbart (204) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 1, 2015
From tap, it's straw colored and has nice thick lace. Nose surprised me with fruity notes, but also a little sour. Taste is fruity, tart, floral with light grains and some mild sour esters. Light and crisp. A nice representation of the style with a traditional base, but a unique flare. I'd take this over most of the Kolsch I had in Cologne.

Very nice summer beer; not too heavy, not too light. Slight German Weiss beer flavor, but only slight. Still a transparent light color, but with more body than a pilsner. Nice with a lemon wedge. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head. Smells of subtle earthy hops and sweet malt. Taste is sweet and bitter, earthy and grainy. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Schlafly Kolsch finishes with a lingering crisp sweetness.
