Tasted on draft and bottle multiple times, it poured an opaque dark reddish brown colour with weak beige foam. As described: sweet stout plus over-the-top cinnamon and cocoa flavours. Too sweet for my personal taste, but I can't deny these flavours go well together and make for a uniquely decadent dessert-beer sorta thing. A nice nutty, toasty, roasty base beer underneath. Medium-full body, big cream mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, multi-layered spicy/chocolatey aftertaste. Good stuff, just can't drink much at a time.

Bottle marked 11/30/2016. Nose is pretty sweet, milk chocolate with baking spices (cinnamon, sure, but a little more complex than that), has a little horchata resemblance. Pour deep brown with a fizzy light brown head. Taste light-medium sweet, a little alcohol support, mild bitterness, that inky black chocolate stout, dash vanilla/coconut, light but persistent cinnamon. Light body but not really watery, has a nice little bit of malted milk balls there, and holds up as a smooth and clean drinker. Happy to have a few extra bottles. [2017.04.04: 3.3]

phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 7, 2017
12 oz. bottle from a mixed pack purchased at Schnucks. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a small tan head that settles into a thick ring and thinner film. The cinnamon kinda leads the way here, with just the faintest suggestion of pepper, along with milk chocolate, mild roast, and just a wee bit of earth. Light-medium bodied, with a smooth, sweet, lightly spicy mouthfeel and soft medium carbonation. Very nice spiced sweet stout.

Cinnamon, cocoa, and walnut nose. Cola brown, medium tan head. Cinnamon, raisin, and walnut. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Very little chocolate, nice blend of spices though.

Strykzone (7586) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 27, 2017
Sampled at Elijah Ps beer school. Dark with a nice layer of foam. This has no heat from spices but a lot of coffee and cinnamon. Earth and chocolate, too. A pleasant surprise.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a lot of cinnamon with some sweet lactose. Flavor is a sweet malt with a large cinnamon and some bitter bakers chcocolate. Finish leaves some cinnamon on the tongue. This probably could have been better with a some chilies added but as it is, it is a flavorful spiced stout.

Bottle - small tan foamy head, pitch black color, big bitter chocolate aroma and flavor, with the cinnamon definitely coming through in the flavor, very well balanced though, and delicious!

Sampler at iTap. Spices kill head, black beer. Horchata like and chocolate thick cake yet light bodied. Light ginger like spice. Fun stuff.
