Had this at Hop in the City. Had a nice dark color with a small khaki head. Had some malts in the aroma and some fruity sweetness. Had a decent finish, but nothing memorable. I’ll stick with the irish extra stout. GoBlue (104) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 16, 2007
Pretty average beer that lacked roasted barley flavor needed in a stout. Otherwise a nice drinking beer. vyvvy (6478) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - SEP 17, 2007
Sampled at Hop in the City 2007. Pours very dark with a light tan head. The aroma has thin toasted malt with some generic fruitiness. Medium / thin body with a thin layer of prickly carbonation. The taste is thin with very roasted malt, sourness and some chalk. There is a bit of spicy hop kick on the finish. There are some good traits in this beer, but it really lacks what it needs to be a good beer. kevinator (2221) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 28, 2014
Decent stout. Dark malt aromas with roasted essence. Dark chocolate color with a thin foamy head. Smooth palate with lighter weight and a dry finish. Good style characteristics with a roasted and woody flavor that finished dry with complimenting hops. A little better than average. miyauchi38 (1096) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2015

On tap at the brewpub. Poured dark brown with a medium brown head. Aroma was nothing. Flavor was spices, banana, clove, with a hint of coffee. Tasted more like a Dunkel to me. Slightly creamy body.
