Picked up a bottle at the tap room a few years ago. Pours a hazy yellow. Slightly sweet with a good bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Nice beer. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Thanks to Secret Santa jmagnus! Another fine entry from the good folk at Schlafly. Very pale orange pour, lively carbonation initially with a thick head that all settles back to a micro-scrim with fine lacing. Nose is lime rickey and rind, a brief bouquet of floral hops. Mouthfeel could be just a touch fuller, but there’s a nice mix of spice and citrus that kisses the palate. Taste is perhaps just a bit faded from age, but there’s something about these mild but bitter notes - almost with a bit of tea and Thai salad - that makes it just fine. Enjoyed it. dzimm27 (143) - - APR 15, 2012
Citrusy pine hop aroma and beautiful cloudy yellow pour. I almost pick up a bit of apricot or peach aroma too. Thin body, spicy hops with a clean bitterness. Quite nice and easy drinking. Finhead (1782) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2012
A pale yellow pour with a white head. I love the grapefruit aroma with notes of lemon rind and some faint pine. The light body has a crisp texture with lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a bitter finish that is also somewhat salty. jandd1983 (4442) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAR 3, 2012
It poured a hazy golden/yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was of hops, with a hint of some citrus. The flavor was awesome, very hoppy and well-balanced. Being both kettle-hopped and dry-hopped gave it a unique hop balance. A very good IPA.

750ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place poured into a shaker. Pours a pale yellow with lots of bubbles a half finger of white head. Aroma is intense citrus. Lots of orange and pineapple. It actually smells like I just opened a big can of Dole Pineapple. Taste is medium bitter and very lightly sweet. Mostly herbal with a nice little citrus hint. Full bodied with a creamy yet slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, this is awesome. I can’t wait till it get to my area so I can buy some more. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2012
750ml Bottle: Got in trade from Phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of hops, grass, light tropical fruit, marijuana, Galaxy hops, tangerine, and some grainy malt. Poured yellow/gold in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, citrus, grass, tangerine, tropical fruit, marijuana, and hop oil. Medium body. Oily, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop, tropical fruit, citrus, tangerine, hop oil finish is lightly dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 14, 2012
750ml bottle courtesy of phale for passing this along in a box that he sent... pours with much clarity a golden light cidery hue with a thin to medium soapy white head that eventually recedes to a thin frothy film... aroma has a musty soap feel to coincide with a semi-sweet citrus fruit component. lacks the pungency of some other galaxy focused brews but the tropical fruity tones are still present. sweeter through the middle and continues on through late. sweet malt and a light biscuit tone surface late.. flavors do not deviate from the nose. light herbal tea notes to go alongside a more sweet citrus focus from beginning to end. just shy of medium bodied with light to mild carbonation. solid in a sense but i can’t help but think of some other offerings that have used the hop varietal to a more successful result (half acre, hill farmstead, etc.) phaleslu (10454) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2012
Rating 3100. 750 ml bottle from the Tap Room. I was heartbroken when I finally got there this week to try it on tap and it was gone. Opened the bottle while watching the SLU-Charlotte game this afternoon. Pours a mostly clear, very bright gold with continuously rising carbonation bubbles and a big, frothy, pillowy bone white head that settles unevenly and laces the glass heavily. As soon as the cap is popped, the Galaxy hops come out to play and never stop. Aroma of citrusy, tropical, dank hops, some herbal oils, sweet malts, and some sugary bread and crackers. Flavor of oily, herbal, and fruity hops, tropical and citrus fruit again, with some pine resin, grass and herbs, and sweet malts. Medium-bodied, with an oily, juicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. This is awesome. Schlafly has boosted itself into the top tier of IPA brewers with this and the American IPA.
