Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy gold with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Not mango. More guava. Med body. Flavor is fruit and floral. It’s kind of like a bitter guava. Not to doubt this is wonderfully bitter. Seems to be a bit of caramel under the hop, but ? This is as harsh and bitter as a NW DIPA, but it’s much more floral/tropical fruit than citrus/pine. To make loose with tradition, Missouri has showed me. Best thing to come out of Missouri since my grandmother. phaleslu (10899) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2012
Rating 3100. 750 ml bottle from the Tap Room. I was heartbroken when I finally got there this week to try it on tap and it was gone. Opened the bottle while watching the SLU-Charlotte game this afternoon. Pours a mostly clear, very bright gold with continuously rising carbonation bubbles and a big, frothy, pillowy bone white head that settles unevenly and laces the glass heavily. As soon as the cap is popped, the Galaxy hops come out to play and never stop. Aroma of citrusy, tropical, dank hops, some herbal oils, sweet malts, and some sugary bread and crackers. Flavor of oily, herbal, and fruity hops, tropical and citrus fruit again, with some pine resin, grass and herbs, and sweet malts. Medium-bodied, with an oily, juicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. This is awesome. Schlafly has boosted itself into the top tier of IPA brewers with this and the American IPA. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JAN 23, 2012
750ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place poured into a shaker. Pours a pale yellow with lots of bubbles a half finger of white head. Aroma is intense citrus. Lots of orange and pineapple. It actually smells like I just opened a big can of Dole Pineapple. Taste is medium bitter and very lightly sweet. Mostly herbal with a nice little citrus hint. Full bodied with a creamy yet slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, this is awesome. I can’t wait till it get to my area so I can buy some more. vyvvy (6839) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 22, 2011
Pours hazy orange with a decent sized white head. The aroma has pineapple, mango, grapefruit and herbal hoppy traits. There is a bit of malt sweetness balancing the hops, but the hops themselves seem to blend and accentuate the sweetness well. The aroma is very juicy and inviting. Medium body that starts off crisp and then gets smooth and has a modest amount of semi-soft carb. The flavor begins with lots of grapefruit up front, the tropical aspects there, but more subdued than on the aroma. There is also some spiciness and a bit of cattiness. The malt peaks through a bit with some smooth sweetness, but this is really a hop-centric beer, especially with it just going on tap today. Some grassiness is noticeable as it warms up along with some orange citrus traits. Excellent IPA and nice finish to the 20th anniversary series. Big thanks to all the folks at Schlafly for giving the STL area great beer for twenty years now. Cheers!! Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - JAN 6, 2012
Arrived from tap at Tap Room a very clean golden color with a light white head around the edges. Aroma has an overall very earthy nose to it, akin to the smell you get when a tomato leaf is disrupted when harvesting, mild citrus later and a touch of pine to finish. Flavor is very clean with some light grainy malt presence early but then a modest citrus middle with lemon and tangerine notes and a very strong leafy hops kick at the end. Mouthfeel has a dryness too it with a crisp, light puckering to your tongue and an interesting sweet kick at the finish. Overall a very tasty brew. Well done and one I wish I could get the recipe for to brew on my own as the flavors the come out of it are really unique.

Picked up a bottle at the tap room a few years ago. Pours a hazy yellow. Slightly sweet with a good bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Nice beer. alcaponejunior (445) - Texas, USA - DEC 24, 2011
This was a wonderful beer, had it both on cask and on tap. Yellow and a bit hazy with a nice head and lace. The hops are quite forward, but still mellow. It’s a well balanced beer. Really liked the woody notes on the cask version. Definitely recommended. kwoeltje (2234) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - FEB 18, 2012
