Dark cola brown beer with a thick foamy beige head. Nose of unsweetened cocoa, vanilla, and nuts, but its a bit faint. Flavor is rich with roasted grain, semi-sweet chocolate, vanilla, and candied almonds. A bit light bodied for a stout, it still has creamy carbonation and a decent mouth feel. Good beer.

Bottle from Discount. Pours a deep brown to black with a half finger of head that dissipates quickly. Coffee on the nose with cacao nib. Light with a cola-like carbonation. More toasted cacao and coffee on the palate. Smooth. This has a lot of flavor but still light. Solid.

Opaque black, just a hint of mahogany red around the edges. Minimal head and lacing. Modest espresso aromas, roasted malts, oatmeal and a hint of ash. Malt sweetness hits first, with a sense of hops bitterness that creeps in then goes away. Coffee and chocolate are clear, with a clear oat presence. Medium bodied, no carbonation to speak of, ,silky smooth mouthfeel and the malt sweetness outlasts any hops in the finish.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Poured ink black with a thin head. Nose of medium roast coffee. Creamy mouth feel with a nice finish. Hints of bakers chocolate and roasted coffee. Much better than their coffee stout. Cheers!

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light figs, dark fruits, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light peated notes, light coffee grind, musty character, light vanilla extract, a bit thin but overall, still solid after a few years. Biropholie imports.

12oz bottle at brunch today. Poured a nearly pitch black color. Small tan head atop it. Aroma was some coffee roast. Oat character. Flavor was some bitter roasted chocolate malts. Flavor was about the same, roasted. Medium-bodied. Easy drinking.

Pours an opaque midnight brown with a respectable tan head. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet dark roasted malt, espresso, and dark bakers chocolate. Medium bitterness from the roasted malt is there as well. Pretty decent stout.

Pours black with a tan head. Mild aroma of roast malt and coffee. The flavor has the roast malt and coffee with some chocolate. A little too carbonated for me.
