4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, light caramel. Tastes of chocolate, roast, caramel. Medium-full body with a dry finish. tfontana (1094) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Bottle. Aroma is bready malts and yeasty dough with slight alcohol. Appearance is opaque black with 1 finger-width light brown creamy head with minimal lacing. Taste is moderately sweet with mild bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin velvety creamy texture, soft carbonation and mild balanced sweet/bitter finish. Overall, a good, straightforward stout without hints of this or that--very good at what it is. Very nice mouth feel. miyauchi38 (1096) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2015

12 ounce bottle from a sampler pack. Pours a black body with an inch of tan head that recedes quickly to a rim of froth. The nose is coffee beans, toffee, tobacco, and subtle hops. Flavors include everything in the aroma plus dark fruits like plum and raisin. Lingering aftertaste of black licorice and more coffee. As I sip on this more, some subtle sweetness is emerging. Medium/full carbonation and full body. This lacks the silky mouthfeel common for the style, but overall, it has good flavor and not overwhelming. obguthr (6595) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 24, 2015
Draft: Roasty, mild cocoa nose. Cola brown, medium tan head. Coffee, roasted malt, slight astringency at midpalate. Cocoa finish. Light body, moderate carbonation. Good oatmeal stout.

Shared growler poured to snifters, displaying a black/brown hue, with a frothy layer of brownish tan head foam, and waves & thick ribbons of lacing. The nose was malty, moderate roastiness, caramel sweetness, with some interesting hints of dark fruit, and subtle port character. Medium bodied, with carbonation that was probably okay to start, but softened a bit more by transport, the taste was roasted, mocha notes, with a touch of creaminess to the mouthfeel, moderate roasted & earthy bitterness, and an altogether, sessionable nature. Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate with a little dark fruit like fig or plums. Light lacing in the glass. Palate is medium to light. Taste of coffee and dark fruit. Not to sweet a little more bitter than most stouts. Overall nice beer.
