Dark brown color. Light wet cardboard aroma, light roated malt. Ordinary mouthfeel, with some dry caramel flavor, some chocolate malt and very light phenol. The final is also a bit warming. Not bad, but not my kind.

On tap @ Schlafly. Black in color with a khaki head. Black pour with a khaki head. Lots of roasted malt and coffee aromas. Some oatmeal cookie, cocoa powder, and toffee. Nice malt sweetness to the flavor. Lots of toffee and cookie dough. Roasted malt and coffee bitterness. Slight acidity on the finish. Plenty of dark chocolate, too.

Bottle from the Beer Geek. Opaque black color with a decent light tan head. Sweet aroma of dark toasted malt. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet toasted malt with a little bitterness. Very pleasing. Finish is a bit sweet, but I guess that fits the style. It’s really good to drink.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Vova’s place. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Black with a tan head. Aroma of lots of coffee, cocoa, roasted grains and a bit of drier dark fruits. Roasty flavor, slightly sweetish, slightly smoky, with coffee, some chocolate and a drier finish. Medium-bodied, slightly creamy oatmeal mouthfeel. A nice one.
