Smells and tastes like a frat house. Disappointing for an Oktoberfest. Golden in color. Bland.

12oz bottle shared. Poured a coppery orange with fluffy white head. A nice malty aroma with a hint of spice. The flavor is very smooth and malty. Very easy to drink. One of the better octoberfest beers I have had.

Drinking from a standard pint glass. 12oz bottle. Bought at local grocery store. Aroma: Bready. Like a pretzel. Very autumnal. a hint spice. Kind of barnhouse smell. Appearance: Nice dark copper/orange. Decent head. fizzed out. Not much lacing. Taste: Malt and Caramel. Crisp and Clean. A hint of spice. Very bready. Sweet like dinner roll. Palate: Not too light, it still has some substance. average carbonation. A good beer to usher in the fall. I’ve had Schlafly’s Pumpkin Beer and it is a better beer in my opinion. Some have found that beer to be too sweet. I think Schlafly’s Oktoberfest would be a nice beer for those who found the pumpkin beer to be too much, while still wanting a beer that epitomizes the flavors of fall. Does this make me want to take a plane straight to Germany? No. Does it make for a good beer to watch the Football game with the guys and not have to resort to drinking Budweiser, or worse? Yes.

Light amber pour with a copper core and a 2 finger creamy white head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is nice toast and cereal, a hint of caramelized grain, some leafy fruitiness, doughy yeast, a little grass and light spiciness. Flavor is pretty deep caramel up front, some biscuit, a little toffee, light citrus, lots of toast, a helping of spicy hops, dry grass and prairie wildflower floral notes. The more I drink the more the earthy, planty floral notes and to a lesser extent the citrus take over. Medium body, creamy to chewy entry, medium, somewhat sharp carbonation and off dry, slightly chewy finish. Good stuff, pretty hoppy for a Märzen , but it still pulls off a nice balance.

12 oz. bottled 08/12/2014. Pours clear orange-copper with a lasting disc of foam on top. Nose is pleasant with tart caramel apple, a dollop of molasses, green maize and dried grass. Taste is sourish green apple, toffee, starchy maize, dry grass and a touch of minty booze. Soft, medium body has a decent balance and a medium carbonation that seems to suit the beer. The lingering herby-menthol hops and vegetal notes become a bit too distracting in this otherwise decent festbier.

Sirpringly light and tasty. Was expecting a heavier taste though it isn't overly dark compared to normal Oktoberfest. Overall pleasantly surprised would buy this afain ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a very clear copper color with a thin, lacing white head. Thick, malty aroma. Malty taste with some spices involved. Decent balance. Good brew.

12 oz. bottle picked up at Party Source from backlog notes 07. Pours a clear reddish/amber color with a foamy off white head. The aroma is a mix of toasted grains, caramel malt, and a hint of leafy hops. The flavor is mainly toasted malts, light hints of caramel, some grass, and light leafy hops. Medium bodied and easy to drink. This is a fairly decent Oktoberfest.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish copper body under a small fizzy white head that had pretty decent retention. The nose is showing a bit too much grainy and husky notes as well as a fairly heavy Munich malt sweetness. Smells OK overall, but makes me leery that this will be as smooth as I want. The flavor is a bit bland and boring, the munich malt is not as heavy or thick as I’d like, it comes across as more of an amber ale malt bill. Just a light hint of hops on the back end, but not enough to make an impact. Lighter bodied with a husky texture and fizzy carbonation. Not one the impresses me too much overall.
