On tap at the downtown brewpub. Clear deep red pour with super lacy white head. Aroma is nutty, very caramel forward, fruity, sweet apple/pear aromas. Taste is grainy, lots of caramel, light toasty notes. Palate is med bodied with light-med carbonation, creamy. Decent. balloonbuffoon (803) - - FEB 3, 2018
From growler to mug glass. This is named "Schlafly Common" which is the same as what they supply to Pi restaurants. There caramel bready aromas that emit from this very copper colored beer. The palate mostly showcases malt flavors of lightly toasted bread and caramel, but there mild bitterness to help provide appropriate balance.A sessionable medium bodied beer that is full of traditional American flavor.Solid. alexsdad06 (11381) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2017
Draft at Pi Pizza from notes. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden/orange color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale, biscuity malt, caramel, light citrus fruit, some earthy notes, light floral, decent. MrBunn (2868) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 10, 2017
On tap at Bottleworks a while back. Deep gold pour with aromas of apples. Flavor is apple juice and light spiciness. It’s decent enough for the style, but pretty boring. bytemesis (9611) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 17, 2016
Tap. Pours slightly hazy orange, medium off white head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is malty, a bit dusty, caramel, rye bread, spicy, pine needles. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, rye spicy, malty with a pine hop bite. Light plus body. Not bad.

Draft at Pi Pizzeria, Bethesda, MD on 10/07/16. Arrived at the table a slightly hazy rust color with a skim of a beige head. The smell was a little stale with some wet cardboard, orange juice, caramel, and a bit of a graininess. Went down thin to medium-bodied. Tasted like it smelled - stale/skunky and watered-down. Some caramel and sweet grains were present upfront. There was a little orange juice and some zesty citrus rinds at the end. Completely forgettable. wxman (1870) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2016
On tap at the source, the Tap Room. Pours a clear deep golden with a thin white head that mostly stays and rings the glass. Aroma is grassy. Taste is sweet caramel malt, lightly toasted bread, and a crisp character more reminiscent of a pilsner. Good example of the style. Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2016
