Tasted on 11/13/11 from a capped 750mL bottle shared by Rachel. Pours clear, bright orange-amber with an average off-white head that leaves a thin layer of even lace. The nose is spicy and malty with bread, caramel, and some spicy yeast, and light bitterness. The flavor is sweet with bread and caramel, a bit of spicy yeast and a bit of bitterness. The body is medium with super lively, mouth-filling carbonation, and a long malty and spicy finish.

bottle... bright orange amber, light tan head, good lace... this is a pretty average quad, light aroma, not much candy sugar or dark fruits, more spice than anything, the finish is a bit rough, lots of alcohol, sweeter than normal boring quad, but sadly better than most American quad attempts

Pours a two finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring, leaving traces of lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Dark fruit and alcohol nose, flavor is malty dark fruit and hints of alcohol. Decent quad. $8.95 for a 750ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

750ml bottle gotten in trade with Mr, Beardy Bishop in Tenn. Opened into pint glass. Smells of belgian funk with apple cider and maybe some wood. Looks kinda hazy amber with tan head. Tastes clean and amber at first then some delicious funks come across with winelike sour bitterness. Also some wood and grass in there. Definitely a complex beer meant for sipping. Overall 7.5 of 10.

750ml from Picks poured into my Chimay Trappist glass. Pours a cloudy dark orange with about 1 finger of off-white head. Aroma of fermented citrus fruit and grapes. It smells like a nice dry cab sauv. Taste is lightly sweet and lightly sour. Tastes like grapes and something sweet, possibly honey. Strong taste of alcohol. Medium bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long alcohol burn finish. Overall, not too bad. Not my favorite from these guys, but very drinkable nonetheless.

750ml bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours cloudy rubyish-brown with a thick, lacy, beige head. Aroma strong caramel, chocolate, and cereal malts, spiciness from the yeast, and floral, almost piney, hops. Flavor a nice blend of everything, with the alcohol content being well hidden and the maltiness being very strong throughout. Smooth texture. A really good beer.

This beer pours a murky amber-brown color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt, Belgian yeast and cloves. Rich and smooth body with flavors of bready malt, caramel, yeast and overripe bananas. The finish is sweet and fruity with a lingering caramel aftertaste. Good beer all around.

750ml bottle brought back by my wife. Clear amber with a small fizzy head that fades to a small ring. Aroma of toffee, caramel, dark fruit and a bit of alcohol. Flavor is dark fruit and caramel, slightly vinous, with a light earthy yeast and a warming alcohol heat. Medium body with soft carbonation and a oily mouth feel. Pretty good Quad, a bit hot but not harsh at all.

Pours reddish/copper with a medium lasting head and good lacing. Aroma is amazing, big barnyard funk, earth, burlap, sour cherry, dandelion, and woody notes. Flavor not quite up to the nose, but still quite interesting. Big grainy body complimented by a slight wheat note, big bittering hops with a slight herbal, clove or anise-like dark tone, some brief fruity/banana/bubblegum moment, and a alcohol burn in the back of the throat.
