Rated 4/6/13. 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a hazy reddish-amber color. The head is a two finger white shade. Extremely frothy in texture, it doesnt have the best retention by any means, but it leaves some nice lacing on the glass. S: There definitely is a note of raspberry in here...only problem is, it comes across in a rather unpleasant manner - dare I say like a cross between stomach acid and pure butter. Yikes, not good. T: Better than the crappy aroma indicated. Its still hilariously buttery at times, but there is a decent raspberry flavor in the midtaste. The more I sip, the less the butter flavors appear and the more it transforms into a generic wheat character with augmenting raspberry notes. On the plus side, theres minimal cloying sweetness. M: Light and crisp, with strong carbonation. If the flavors were better, this would be spectacularly easy to drink - it still kind of is, though. O: Not Schlaflys finest work by any stretch. The lack of overdone sweetness is good, so its only a subpar wheat ale (NOT a hefeweizen, damn you!) with a bit of raspberry tartness instead of a disastrously artificial sugar bomb. Nothing I need to ever have again, however.

Bottle. Im generally not a fan of this style, just a disclaimer. But this is actually kinda pleasant. Hazy orange-amber, thin top. The raspberry component is both dominant, yet pleasantly interwoven into a solid, not too sweet American wheat. Props. (#6342, 9/29/2016)

Pours a cloudy peach with medium off-white head with a hint of rose, which leaves some lacing and skim. The color suggests pink grapefruit juice with a head, and the nose also hints at that, with a tart noted complementing the usual wheat and spice. On the palate, the raspberries are tart and ride on top instead of overpowering the underlying wheat, mild banana and subdued clove notes. In short, this is a light summer beer, mildly sweet but with tart fruit providing a refreshing tang. The finish is drier than suggested by the foregoing, and with more grass than fruit. Despite that, this is nice seasonal offering.

DATE: June 4, 2016... GLASSWARE: Weihenstephan weizen... OCCASION: chilling and grilling with the boys after two baseball wins... pours an extremely cloudy tan body that reveals some sediment at the glass;s bottom and variably sized bubbles... opaque otherwise... head is a thick two fingers that settles to a soapy white bowl... clear banana with some tart raspberry and wheat esters that suggest earthiness... sharp, tart immediacy that sours the aftertaste for an appreciable time... on second sip, the banana and hay come through, mellowing the impact of the raspberry puree... refreshing and forward, with a larger flavor than 4.1% ABV would suggest... slight lacing in the glass... the suggestion of cracker at its end would suggest malts? effervescent and spritzy in its palate, like an Italian soda... I could easily reach for this if summer slamming was on the party menu, if not for the tartness that does not relent as the glass drains... some candied suggestions leave the finish of the bottle with a medicinal quality... a palpable graininess rounds off the experience, and I am left thinking this is somewhere between styles... okay for a surprise in a craft box 12-off, but not one I would seek out....

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy orange gold color. Medium sized creamy white head. Raspberry and lemon wheat malt aroma. Flavor is wheat malt and raspberry. Very light body and flavor. A good option on a hot day, but rather insipid.

Pours lightly pink. Like thin red grapefruit juice. Aroma is tart, light raspberry. Flavor is tart american style wheat with a nice bit of raspberry. Easy to drink and not overly sweet with fake fruit.

Smells and tastes a little like raspberry flavored seltzer water. It grew on me as we drank it.

On tap at Nooonans Hamilton OH. Pours pastel pink with a white head. Tart berry nose. Taste the same with some apple flavor and a decent amount of raspberry wheat. Little lacing in the glass. Light palate. Clean crisp finish. Nice ale.

355ml bottle. Cant believe the low ratings. Its a smooth crushable and creamy wheat beer with TART raspberry. Very nice, will be getting laid with this brew.
