Bottled (thanks for sharing jarikumpul!). Dark brown to pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is bigtime roasted malts, liquorice, chocolate and also mild notes of coffee. Flavour is quite the same with the liquorice coming real strongly. Also Alcohol gives a nice warming touch to complete the whole.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of IrishBoy. Pours a clear, warm, dark brown with a tint of red and a beige head. Fat, sweetish, caramel aroma and some roasted malt up there too. Medium body only with sweetish, roasted malt - not overly burned - with lightly sweet notes of vanilla and wood. No distinct bourbon accents really and even the bitterness is discreet. A very subtle and discreet take on the style making it mellow and easy drinking. 280907 omhper (24977) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 1, 2011

Opaque black stout, good pale tan head. Semi dry and crispy palate. When cold it’s all smooth dark malt, toasted coconut and vanilla oak. As the beer warms subtle coffee and chocolate emerge. Warmer still the bourbon. Nicely joined up Impy but lacks the luxuriant feel of the very best. But still very quaffable.
75 cl bottle courtesy of Greg at Churchkey, shared with Renata, Fabio and Alession at Birrificio Valscura in Sarone de Caneva, Italy. Dark brownish maroon color, small beige head, scant lacing. Aroma of bourbon, cocoa, subtle smoke. Taste has burnt espresso, bitter cocoa, vanilla, whisky apparent mid way and in the finish. Good character and complexity. Well reviewed by all.
