COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rye is known to be used mostly in baked goods, but has also historically been used in distilling gins and whiskey, and now, brewing beer. The addition of this nutritious flaked grain is most noticeable at the finish, providing an overall complexity to the beer thats refreshing, spicy, and crisp. We use the Simcoe and Galaxy hops at the beginning of the boil, and and then Galaxy and Simcoe a second time at the dry-hopping stage to draw out their distinct aromas.

Bottle. A very light pour, with a peach-tinged, golden hue. The head is gigantic and slow to settle. The aroma is sweet and gristy, spicy grass and herbs. This drinks with an interestingly complex swirl of floral hop, herbal spice and a light flourish of sweet fruit. It has a hefty, yet easy-to-drink character. Yummy. (#6594, 5/7/2017)

Bottle. Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a lemon hop with maybe some dry malty backbone. Flavor is a minor hop but this does have a large spicy rye malt aftertaste. This is decent, the rye really comes through in the flavor but this probably needed another hop variety in addition to the 2 that were used.

EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - FEB 5, 2014
The color of this brew is clear orangeish brown with a large off-white head, and the aroma blends rye with floral hops. The taste is a very nice combination of a slight bitterness and a mild sourness that lets the rye and hops dovetail nicely, and the palate fuses a slick texture, medium body, long finish, and a soft carbonation.

tap at the taproom-pours deep orange almost birght amber with a small soapy white head. nose is floral with bright citrus nothing great but decent. wow flavors of bright citrus primarly but has an anoying mineral aspect maybe from age? the mineral medcinal bitter metallic finish with a hint of resin long into the finish. It kind of has hop flavors somewhat similar to two hearted ale but with the aforementioned annoying mineral qualities. Overall a decent beer but nothing special.
