Bottle. The pour was a murky medium brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) creamy light brown head that reduced to just a thin film on top and did have good sticky lacing.
The aroma was fairly mild of a toasted cereal malt and a sweet doughy yeast with notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, dark fruit and a hint of bourbon.
The taste was sweet and malty with a nice note of caramel to start and finished sweetly acidic with hints of dark fruit and toffee and had a mild bourbon alcohol tinge at the end. The flavor was only around for a short while after the swallow and was mostly of a sweet fruit and malts.
Mouthfeel was between light and medium in body with a creamy, syrupy texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall a nice smooth a mellow bourbon aged ale with no heavy alcohol taste at all.
On tap at HopCat. Lots of caramel and some vanilla from the bourbon barrels. Pleasantly sweet and smooth. mnoud (318) - Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA - NOV 12, 2015

On tap at Fireworks pours a mostly clear, dark orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has an interesting blend of toast, toffee, some vanilla, faint booze, wood shavings, some raisin. Flavor has raisins, light port, lots of caramel and vanilla, a little sumac, some cream soda. Only medium bodied with just a little booziness. Well restrained. Lightly barreled and pretty well done. Even though there isn’t much to this beyond barrel its still good. Light caramelized malt and some hint of candy. Like a mini barley wine. Dark amber pour with OK head. Bittersweet finish with some booze. Tap at world of beer.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear amber brown color, light beige head cover, strips and dots of lace. Taste is malt that shoves a burst of fizz and alcohol into the swallow, followed by smooth oak and mild English hops on the finish. Easy to drink, but enough alcohol to remind you of the potency. Solid. Recommended. thorongil2 (3429) - , Ontario, CANADA - JUN 30, 2015

Draft taster at Whole Foods. Lite brown/copper with small offwhite head. Lite bourbon, caramel malt, oak, vanilla, flora. Ok, but contrived. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - MAR 25, 2015
Had on tap at their place on Locust Street in STL. Pours a darkish amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is lots of bourbon and oak, with a strong malty backbone. Flavor follows with mild bitterness and toffee and caramel. Very clean. Very nice beer. One of my favorites of all that they have done. Wish this one was available in bottles. Super nice. jandd1983 (4606) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAR 15, 2015
On tap at the Tap Room. It poured a dark amber color with a small off- white head. The aroma was of caramel with some vanilla and bourbon. The taste was of malts, with hints of vanilla, oak and booze. Very tasty.
