COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hop’s unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

Pours clear and golden. Aroma is a bit off-putting, almost smells a little sour. Moderate carbonation with smooth taste, heavy on the galaxy hops, piney with bitter finish. A true IPA.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2016 Thanks to iNBe. Citrus tropical fruits, decent malt backbone. Good. Serving: Bottle

From 12 ounce bottle purchased at Crown Liquors #14 in downtown Indianapolis, tasted on March 26, 2016. Very cloudy orange/yellow hue, very intense bittersweet nose with pine notes and an earthiness I’ve seldom if ever encountered in an IPA, smooth but firm bittersweet taste with ample hops, citrus and earthiness. Really good beer and interesting for style.

A good beer. Strong IPA flavors. Lots of hops, lots of alcohol. Floral and fruity aroma, comes through a little in the finish as well.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with a finger-thick off-white head that lasts leaving some nice lacing. Aroma is of fresh citrus hops. Medium body, taste is a nice balance of citrus hops and malt. Grapefruit and pineapple work well here. Finish is slightly dry with the citrus lasting well after the swallow. Very good!

Smells and tastes like tropical fruit juice. Big pineapple, mango and papaya. Very fresh and delicious. I like that breweries are using different varieties of hops to mix it up a bit. This one is definitely a win and my first beer from these guys. Absolutely delicious. Cheers.

One of the better ones that I’ve had from this brewer. Seems like a West-Coast style. Nice strong citrusy hops with just enough malt to balance out. Has a semi-cloudy light orange appearance. I wouldn’t mind sampling this one again if I could.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy gold color. Frothy white head with nice clinging lace. Faint fruity malt nose. Bittersweetet hops upfront. Notes of mango and sweet citrus. Nice balance between malt and hops yield a flavorful IPA. Some bready notes in finish. Overall a very good IPA.

Pours a hazy golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of bready sweet malts and earthy dank hops. Taste follows, bittersweet finish. This is not an ideal batch of galaxy, but not a bad IPA.

Bottle. Hazy golden. Grapefruit aroma with hints of earth. Taste is bitter grapefruit peel, cat pee (I don't know what cat pee tastes like but the taste reminds me of the smell for some odd reason), soap, and light floral notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
