COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hop’s unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

Bottle. A rich amber colored body with a slightly yellowish tinted khaki head. A bright nose of herbal citrus. There is also some sweet white cake. This tastes like citrus glaze on a toasted coffee cake. Fairly sweet, especially on the back end of each drink. However, there is just enough bitterness to keep it interesting with each sip. A lively body helps to keep it fresh. There is also some woody, slightly piney note, especially after dropping in the yeast shot. Nicely done and unique.

Really spicy herbal and hoppy aromas. I get lots of rosemary in the aroma. More hoppy herbal hop flavor. Herbaceous and bitter. Nice smooth mouthful. Really good.

12oz bottle from Party Source in Cincy (well, Kentucky) for $1.99. Hazy yellow pour with a thin white head and a sheet of lacing. Aroma of juicy tropical citrus, grapefruit. Tastes are resiny citrus, little perfumy, floral, herbal. Easy drinking thin palate with a juicy finish. Light to moderate bitterness. Very nice random find.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2016 Bottle into tulip glass, clear orangy-golden color with white head. Aroma of dank tropical fruity hops. Taste brings out notes of oranges, lemons, pineapple, passion fruit, dried apricots and some grass. Light-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, dry with tropical fruity bitter finish. Excellent galaxy hopped beer, very tropical fruity IPA.

Amazing stuff. Pours blonde with good head and lacing. Citrusy, with even a touch of apricot. Medium bitter finish. Wonderful beer. Tap.

12-oz. Thanks, S! Very cool treat. Pours a brilliantly clear bright orangey amber with a loose and creamy off white head. Big bright fruity nose, sharp dimensional grapefruit and plenty of orange pith. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel very faintly under a bright heavy grapefruit bite, with some soft pithy notes as counterpoint. Finishes very, very dry. Could go a lot higher if this had a juicier finish, but the bottle is a few weeks old. Well stored, but not exactly right off the brite tank. Curious to retry someday.

Very hop forward aroma from the Australian hops. On the palate you get a strong citrus flavor, with the flavor lasting all the way through, finishes nicely.

Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy blond, with head. Crispy, passion fruit, a little mint aroma, bitter, hoppy and dry taste. Smooth, dry finish, bitter and a little piney aftertaste.
