Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hops unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

dear...lord...The hop aroma startled me not just in its pungency or potency, but also in the fact that it reminded me of sweat. And I thought to myself "this is the only time i will say that sweat smells good, someone should bottle this stuff" bear in mind that i thought that while sniffing out of a bottle...Kevin, the beer guy at my local beer store poured me a taste of this in store and wow...it smells like grapefruit and oranges, and lemon and sweat all rolled in one! It tasted like that too, but to a slightly lesser degree. I had to buy the six-pack, and i did. and it was awesome. you should too if you get a chance.

Dank and very tropical fruit aroma. Pours golden with a pillowy white head. Very big bite from the familiar galaxy hop with a strange tropical finish- like a passionfruit type taste? Little bit of grass in there too. Overall well done but not sure if I like this take on a galaxy IPA.

Bottle poured a hazy gold with a small lasting creamy white head. Aromas of biscuit, dankness, tropical fruit and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, dankness, grapefruit and light tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Draught. This is a rock solid IPA that has incredible hop aroma and bite. Grassy yet not too bitter. Well done brew.

Tap at Js. Hazy neon straw color with a finger of foam. Big tropical fruit forward nose with some light citrus and lots of mango and peach. Clean on the palate with good carbonation. More fruit, medium to light bitterness on the finish. Solid stuff!

Pours a medium gold with minimal white head. Smells faintly of citrus, tropical fruit. Taste is mild, kind of dull - hint of citrus - mildly sweet not really bitter. Not an unpleasant taste but a big disappointment.

Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow with foamy off-white head, citrus aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter citrus taste, thin body, medium bitter citrus peel finish. Smooth and citrusy, nice brew.

Pours clear and golden. Aroma is a bit off-putting, almost smells a little sour. Moderate carbonation with smooth taste, heavy on the galaxy hops, piney with bitter finish. A true IPA.

From 12 ounce bottle purchased at Crown Liquors #14 in downtown Indianapolis, tasted on March 26, 2016. Very cloudy orange/yellow hue, very intense bittersweet nose with pine notes and an earthiness Ive seldom if ever encountered in an IPA, smooth but firm bittersweet taste with ample hops, citrus and earthiness. Really good beer and interesting for style.

A good beer. Strong IPA flavors. Lots of hops, lots of alcohol. Floral and fruity aroma, comes through a little in the finish as well.
