Clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Fruity Belgian yeast aroma and taste with a slightly dry finish. phaleslu (10246) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2010
Draft served in a snifter at the Tap Room. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with a small, creamy white head. Aroma of tangerine, apricot, yeast, floral notes, candi sugar, and malts. Flavor is very similar, with some grass, caramel, and wheat. Medium-bodied, with soft carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. A little spice in the background. Alcohol is completely hidden. Pretty solid beer. bockimstein (167) - New Madrid, Missouri, USA - JUL 15, 2010
750 ml. to chalice, shared with Will. Pours golden with small head. Aromas are very fruity. Taste is fruit and candy. Medium body and carbonation. Long after taste that leaves bread, yeast and fruit. Good for the style. EricE (1367) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2010
Very hazy pale yellow pour. Fluffy white head. Malty aroma with honey and molasses, some fruit. Very sweet flavor with some cereal. Grassy hops on the finish with a lot of alcohol. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 28, 2010
750mL sampled at Shenandoah Throwdown. Good cloudy yellow body with a thick0ish white head that has good retention and lace. Excellent sourish nose with lactic acid coming through atop rich, sour green pears and light citrus peel. Taste is sweet oranges, candi sugar, slight booziness, spices, pears. Really nice- a big surprise.

Big fancy bottle. Pours a fairly clear gold color (second glass from the bottle is very cloudy, with tons of floaties, however) with a very large fizzy white head that dies down pretty slowly and leaves lots of suds on the sides of the glass. Aromas are sweet and spicy... Lots of honey and dough, a bit oi pear and apple fruitiness and cloves to balance it out. Flavor is very similar, but borders on a little too robust (especially the stinging alcohol). This is big, sweet and very assertive. MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - JUN 15, 2010
There’s a little cotton-candy aroma here, then its got lots of that wintery spice, clove, coriander, grass and some yeast. The flavor is crisp at the start, then a little bready softness, closing off with a bitter carbonated snap. Overall quite enjoyable. I would turn this into a regular drinker if I could get it here. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2010
Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Interesting aroma of citrus, yeast and honey. Good flavor of honey, citrus and yeast. The body is light with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. Not a great example of the style, but quite satisfying. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2010
On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a cloudy, golden colored body with an orange tint. Finger-width, creamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice, soft lacing. Aroma is fruity with an easy, mellow spicing. Yeasty and flowery with some citrus grass and a hint of tartness. Nice, soft malt backing with a bit of a candy sweetness. Flavor is solid. Soft malts with a bit of that candied sweetness and a light caramel and wheat. Fruity with some citrus grass and apricots with a hint of tartness similar to the aroma. A good amount of yeasty spice with a touch of earth. Finishes clean and dry with a nice, fruity, yeast spicing. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a light to medium, soft and smooth body. Very easy drinking. Overall, a well made tripel. Fruity and flavorful with a solid yeast spicing. Pleasant malt backing and well balanced with no trace of alcohol. Nice beer. Bottle - 750mL capped. Golden/amber pour with a short, foamy white head. Aroma is very yeasty and fruity with floral notes, spices and candi sugar. Strong aroma of grains as well. Taste is sweet malt, candied fruit, candi sugar, dusty yeast, flowers, spicy notes and hop bitterness. Body is medium-full with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more Belgian yeast notes, big fruit, flowery flavors, bitter hops, and sweet malt.
