Medium brown color with a nice white head. Plenty of hop and some unroasted barley. A bit of hop as well. A light Octoberfest? Well, maybe without all the spices. This one is more straightforward. Enjoyable. thegreenrooster (4588) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - APR 8, 2008
Pour is a brown with a foamy white head. Aroma is a nice dose of caramel malts. Flavor is decent with some of the malts and enough hop character to keep this lively. A decent enough beer. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 1, 2008
Tasted 3/29/08. On draft from the Tap Room. Filtered with a deep amber hue. Layer of white head. Mild grainy nose. Rather cold, but better than most places. Fresh! So fresh! Mild to medium bodied with smooth light malts. Tight carbonation. Tight moderately hoppy finish. Good bread flavor. Typical Schlafly house yeast character. Coating. Typically a light O’Fest. Slight sweet vanilla undertone. Slight bitterness. Tasty! nimrod (73) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAR 31, 2008
Draught at Schlafly Brewery. Poured reddish amber with thick head. Aroma slightly malty with some citrus fruits. Taste was similar. Nothing outstanding about this beer, but it is very drinkable, medium bodied, and balanced. xmarcnolanx (945) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - MAR 29, 2008
Aroma is slightly hoppy, sweet malty.

Pours a dark honey brown color with nice lacing.
Taste is slightly sweet, malty, very small touch of hops.
Very solid for the style.
a pleasant experience all around. an attractive lady with me for lunch at the brewpub after a long road trip and this nice little beer in front of me. poured a light copper with a decent head. fruity nose, with a flavor that was a bit of the same plus a nice floral hop character. really went well with the meal. rdawson321 (145) - USA - APR 20, 2006
Reddish amber in color, with a good sized, short-lived head. My first Vienna style beer. Sweet and fruity on the nose and slightly bitter, yet crisp, on the finish. csbosox (1229) - Prairie Village, Kansas, USA - NOV 5, 2005
KC tasting. Gold color, off white rocky head. Light malt, light spice, Caramelly, sweet finish. Terminus (3721) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 19, 2005
tap-hop in the city 05-i didn’t take much notes for this one since it was on the final pour of the day. pours amber with a small white head. big caramel malt aroma with a faintness of german funky yeast. good sweet malt flavors with a tinge of apple notes. not much hops to speak of. true to style here! kwoeltje (2234) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - SEP 17, 2005
(Hop in the City) Medium gold. Small head. Nice malt aroma with caramel malty flavor.
