Golden clear appearance. Sweet cherry and strawberry malt aroma, a little grainy as well. Sweet crystal malt flavor, really too much so. Not much beyond that. Bitter and dry bready finish. Ok.

hazy light golden, thin head. aroma is slightly roasty with some hops. flavor has some roast especially the aftertaste. detected an aroma of extinguished cigarette butts.

Hop in the City '03: Hazy orange. Chewy sticky malt aroma with light pears and sweet honey. Light maltiness on the tongue, while bitterness rules the finish, and it is seemingly from the west coast, good and interesting interpretation.

This rating was from the Hop In The City event where brews from the previous year were sampled (5 oz) by the attendees from kegs. This brew poured a very small head of fine to large sized white bubbles that quickly disappeared. It left behind a transparent orange brown colored body. The aroma was that of mild caramel malt and if it was stronger would probably have gotten a nice rating. The mouthfeel was smooth and the flavor was anothe typical mild malt hop one.

Well ambered with an excellent head. Understated caramel with light hopping and a pleasant sweetness. Very good.

No substance or style. Nothing like Great Lakes' excellant Eliot Ness. This one is just dull.

Somewhat lacking in personality. Typical american interpritation where the hop dominates.

Mellow, malty and quite interesting. One of my favorite Schlafly brews. Very drinkable - a session brew.

Maltier than I expected sweet taste balanced with alot of hops. I'm not sure if this is a light Oktoberfest style, very malty.I love this beer.

Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - MAY 20, 2002
Nice typical Vienna style deep red clear coloration. Slight head, no carbonation visible, but lively mouthfeel regardless. Some malty sweetness in the aroma. Interesting palate, halfway inbetween sweet & hoppy. Bites you in the cheeks! Finish is both sweet & hoppy as well. This is most surely an American interpretation, but it's interesting.
