Cloudy yellow with a small head. Mostly banana, clove and spice, like every other German hefe. Dry, tart finish. bitter (1136) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - AUG 1, 2005
this was a nice weiss beer, more of our standard american hefe weisen to me. cloudy golden liquid with a citrus banana nose. good fullness on the palate with a sweet yeast backbone. good. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - SEP 18, 2004
(Hops in the City) Pale gold with nice white head. Fruity aroma. Flavor is banana and cloves. OK I guess--weissbiers just aren’t my thing. thedm (6185) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 20, 2003
This rating was from the Hop In The City event where brews from the previous year were sampled (5 oz) by the attendees from kegs. This brew poured a small head of finely sized white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a hazy yellow colored body. It has a fruity floral aroma and a smooth mouthfeel that is slightly bubbly. The flavor is full of tingly fruity notes. iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 20, 2003
Tap: Very nice hazy orange appearance - fresh aroma with great citrus notes (apricot among others) Flavour is very clean and refreshing in the cool night on the Tap room patio. . . I could drink this all night. Good wheat and other natural flavours mix solidly with strong hops on the tongue and the characteristic Schlafly malt to compliment nicely.

at the brewery. hazy golden color, weak smell of grass, tastes like a typical good wheat beer. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAY 28, 2003
Cloudy yellow with ggod head and some lace, thin-bodied. Banana, clove, lemongrass, yeasty characteristics. I also agree that this is hefeweizen, much more that the beer named so. Good balance on palate, sweet and sour. Finished with a linger respect to those flavors. Much better. igneous1 (1535) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - SEP 22, 2002
pale yellow (but not as pale as the wit!) somewhat cloudy with perfumey aroma...only very mild notes of banana and clove in the flavor...not a great wheat in my opinion austinpowers (2828) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 17, 2002
Very wheaty. A true german-style hefe. Oddly, Schlafly’s ’hefeweizen’ isn’t nearly as good as their ’weissbier’. Go figure. TAR (2765) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JUN 21, 2002
Banana, clove aroma. velvety mouthfeel. Banana flavor and texture throughout with a malty and acidic twang finish.
