COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schnucks and Schlafly Beer invite you to try this third release in our Culinaria collaboration series, Weizenbock. This bold, unfiltered wheat beer is loaded with fruity and spicy character. Brewed with a large amount of Wheat malt, along with a good dose of Munich and caramel malts, this beer has a rich, dark brown appearance and a spicy flavor. The German Weizen yeast enhances the distinct profile of this beer, which gives it half its name; the other half is from its alcohol content, which is more similar to a Bock than a Dunkelweizen, its nearest cousin.

750 ml bottle from Culinaria. Pours a hazy nut brown color with a small off-white film for a head. Aroma of nuts, wheat, toast, brown sugar, clove, and banana- rich and nutty all the way through. Flavor of nuts, toasted malts, brown sugar, bananas, clove, anise, and earthy notes. Medium-bodied, with a toasty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Solid weizenbock; glad I picked this up.

Pours deep murky brown with a small head. The aroma has rich wheat, ripe bananas, brown sugar, toffee, clove and bubblegum - this has a very rich aroma to it. Medium / thick body with a minor amount of carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma traits, but is a little more subdued and it also has some oiliness, anise and molasses. The finish adds some mineral notes and more of the licorice and molasses aspects. Really nice interpretation of the style and comes across as a much darker version of the style and it works pretty well.

Bottle from Culinaria. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Big yeast notes on the nose with some banana as well. Theres some maltiness on the tongue along with banana. It hides its 8 percent very well. Finishes clean. Good bee for a colder than expected night.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is nice with a big dark fruityness and some clove. Flavor is sweet to begin with some molasses like sweetness. Then comes some some brown sugar and dark fruit. Deffinatly on the sweeter side with a little alcohol noticable but those are minor complaints. Its deffinatly tasty and one of those beers you get something different every sip.

It poured a dark brown color with a light tan head. The aroma was roasted malt, with some spices and citrus. The taste was roasted malt, a hint of cinnamon and some pepper. A very good Weizen Bock.

750ml bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a dark nut brown with minimal off-white head. Aroma of banana, caramel and clove. Taste is light sweet. Lots of banana and clove with a good bit of caramel malt in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I wish this was a year round beer because I would drink it all the time.
