Think of this as a fresher, hoppier Hefeweizen: smooth, cloudy, and golden-colored. This style dates back to the Middle Ages, where the beer was matured in deep vaults and emerged rich in vitamins.

Clearish gold, which is kinda surprising - I thought it'd be cloudier. Smells lightly sweet, bready, and grassy. Taste is clean, a bit sweet, and some, I don't know, corn? Hint of pine as it warms..

Pours a ’white’ color. It’s more like a yellow, but barely. Cloudy, some sediment. Good thick, soapy white head, about two fingers. Good retention, light lacing.

Aroma can best be described as ’Wow that’s yeasty!’ and ’Wow that’s bready!’ It took me my surprise. There’s also some herbal hops, and a touch of fruit, maybe apple and banana.

Taste is yeast first, and then banana. Not very bitter, and certainly not overly sweet. Has a good deal of herbal hops.<p<Initially, was smooth and clean. But as it warms it’s starting to become harder to drink. Not as smooth, sort of hangs up on tongue.

Overall, it’s pretty good. Haven’t had this too many times. But this is one of the better ones. I’d probably buy this again, and I would recommend it as it’s a good example of the style.

Draft. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is of yeast, bready malt and some apples. Body is medium and crisp. Bready malt, spicy yeast and herbal hops fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Nice brew.

12 oz single bottle from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Council Bluffs (Madison Ave). Clear yellow appearance with a white head. Fresh aroma of citrus zest, toasted malt and a touch of fruity esters. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and balanced by light to mild bitterness. Crisp, clean and refreshing with a pleasant finish. A nice lager overall.

Bottle from notes. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have bready lager malts, straw, pepper, light bitterness, just not much going on here.

Aroma of some cereal, and mild spices. Hazy yellow color with a white fluffy head. Sweet malt up front. Some mild notes of spices, and cinnamon. Bitterness has a bite of pepper. Watery mouth feel, balanced finish.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered yellow-tan body. Not much of a head. Really solid beer. Old world style, medium bodied, very drinkable. Awesome lager tones. Pleasant cloudy wheat, yeast notes as well. Really good.

Some bodega: pours hazy pale with a white head. Aroma is lightly soapy, bready. Taste is bready. Kind of sweet. Does have some hefe elements, but still very much a lager.
